If you liked Myst and have lots of time on your hands, Frankenstein is for you. It will take you a while to get familiar with your surroundings and you may get lost a few times, but that's life in a castle! Some gamers who are beyond the point and click interface of games like Myst will probably loose interest in this one. But with the great acting of Tim Curry, the stunning 3-D art, and haunting soundtrack, Frankenstein fans definitely have a winner here.

The lack of a hint feature is disappointing, as all the puzzles must be solved to complete the game, and the time needed to come up with a solution can be frustrating. But despite the number of little annoyances throughout the game, FRANKENSTEIN is a good mood piece for anyone with the patience and doggedness for this kind of puzzle adventure.
Overall, a solid adventure title with several nice qualities, a strong story and challenging mechanical puzzles and two fatal flaws – the main voiceover really sucks and the game is one big maze after another. Try it if mazes don’t drive you too crazy.
So my recommendation, if you want to wander around clicking on things while following a story, is to check out the Disney Animated Storybooks. The Toy Story Animated Storybook is particularly cool. It's much more fun getting Woody and Buzz to do cool things than to solve simplistic puzzles as Dr Frankenstein's monster.
