DescriptionIn Lord of the Aisle, the player controls an elderly man who is the self-appointed guardian of a supermarket aisle. Through tower defense-style gameplay, he has to block all other shoppers from passing from one end of the aisle to the other. His basic move is to push people back with a shock wave from his walker until they give up, though certain waves may add other gameplay features into the mix, such as a wall of groceries that can buy the man some time. Along the way, it becomes clear that this is more than just a crotchety and selfish old man, and his quest to block the aisle is based on a deeper psychological need, which the player may only discover by completing the game.
