DescriptionDamon is a handsome vampire bounded by an enchantment to the evil witch Celeste, having to carry out her dark wishes against his will. One night, while hunting for fresh blood in the village near the witch's castle, he makes eye contact with Victoria, a beautiful young maiden and niece of the local mayor. Intrigued, he stalks her, but is forced to flee back to Celeste when morning breaks, only briefly exchanging some words with the frightened young woman. Victoria decides to investigate the background of the mysterious creature, venturing into the nearby forest and other locations for clues about his past, to put an end to Celeste's reign of terror and save Damon's soul.
Love & Death: Bitten is a hidden object game with elements of the adventure genre, and using vampires as the main theme. The player assumes the role of either Damon and Victoria for each chapter. Most of the time, the objective is to explore the available locations, collecting and using all the items found on certain parts of the scenery to perform actions or complete pending tasks. The goals still to be achieved are listed at the bottom-right corner. The bottom interface serves as the inventory, storing useful items that can be dragged and dropped on appropriate and logical portions of the scene to solve puzzles. In some places, a crow flies in holding a parchment in its beak with a list of objects to be found on the scene. The list replaces the inventory, with special yellow entries being actions that have to be performed by dragging objects on top of each other. The hint button highlights the position of one of the required items, but takes some time to recharge after use.
Mini-games appear occasionally, taking place on a separate screen where the player has to manipulate pieces and other self-contained mechanisms to solve logic puzzles, like deflecting light to a series of mirrors, arranging symbols in a grid with no repeating figures on each row and column, and other similar challenges. As an extra objective, the player has to gather one-hundred gold leaves found on most locations, with a counter at the bottom displaying the amount collected and glowing to indicate the existence of leaves on the screen.
