With its distinctly Myst-style gameplay, RAMA may not be breaking any new ground; but it offers genuinely challenging, carefully designed, and long-lived stretch of adventure gaming for all but those players who are completely intimidated by arithmetical problems. Most players will surely be captivated by the game's attractive graphics; and they will certainly be grateful that, even if they discover any bugs in the game, Sierra's recently released patch will fix most of them.
Fanatiques de science-fiction en général, et de celle d'Arthur C. Clarke en particulier, réjouissez-vous. Rama débarque sur les écrans de vos Macintosh. Et c'est assez réussi.
Originally a book by Arthur C. Clarke, RAMA is now a game. It stays true to the novels and will engross everyone from RAMA worshippers to those who just want an entertaining sci-fi adventure game. This adventure takes place on an alien spaceship, which you're sent to explore.
Rama is very long and very hard. It's apt to cause a lot of frustration unless you are conversant with math in other base formats or are willing to try repeatedly until hitting on a solution by luck. The game is a lot more enjoyable if you have an aptitude for math. Although a good game, Rama may frustrate due to its extremely hard math puzzles, an aspect that detracts from the wonderful graphics and alien cultures portrayed.
So you are left exploring. And exploring Rama is an excellent adventure. If you are an analytical, patient person and have a fairly hefty Mac, we have no reservations about recommending Rama.
Rama, som bygger på boken Rama II, är svårt och kräver mer tankearbete och ren kunskap än vanliga äventyr. Hyfsat kul men inget att bli upphetsad över, vänner av Clarkes rymdepos bör dock bli nöjda.
