Description

World Mosaics 3: Fairy Tales is another entry in a series of picture crosswords games by Fugazo, this time using well-known fairy tales as the main theme for the puzzle drawings. Like in Picross and other similar titles, the player has to mark individual cells on a grid of variable size to reveal a basic drawing. Each line and column has numeric clues showing the amount of squares to be filled and their relative positions. For example, a row with "1 3 1" has two isolated tiles and three connected ones waiting to be painted. Empty cells can be marked with an X.

The player has to use the information provided, and logical deduction to fill the correct squares. A number of hints are available as blue orbs with feathers, automatically filling up tiles when activated. An inkwell slowly fills up every time a cell is correctly painted, giving new hints when filled to the brim. There is a number of mistakes allowed per puzzle, with the amount of errors permitted increasing in the more complex grids of later levels.
