Mad Dog McCree is quite obviously played by an entirely different person in this sequel. He's quite a bit chubbier than the guy who played McCree in the original game.

The last gunfight is indeed pretty damn long (it's one long camera sequence unbroken by the cut-aways and scene changes which are used so often in the rest of the game), and so I don't doubt the advertising claim. Not that it's really that much to brag about.
