Description
For those drawing-game fans who just can't wait for
Crayon Physics Deluxe, here's something to tide us over in the meantime, featuring gameplay that clones virtually everything that's been seen so far from
CPD: the gravity and momentum of
the original plus the fixed-connector and hinge functionality that has been promised.
To bring the rest of us up to speed, the premise is neither new nor complicated: the game challenges the player, through 26 levels, to maneuver a rolling ball to all flags present on the level without falling down any bottomless pits or tumbling off the sides of the one-screen 2D level. This is achieved by drawing helpful geometric shapes on the screen using the mouse, but complicated by necessary feats such as going up ramps, which is here achieved through use of the above-mentioned joints and hinges to create simple gravity-driven pendulum-machines to impart enough momentum to the ball to wallop it up the ramp.
