Marko

Marko's Magic Football är en fröjd för både öga, själ och framförallt handkontroll. Det finns bara en nackdel: Instruktionsboken är inte på svenska, vilket kan vara påfrestande för våra stackars småsyskon, för det här är ett för alla åldrar. Det finns bara en sak till att skriva, gå och köp innan dom tar slut!

The game had excellent graphics and I really liked the '90's PC feel the game had. I thought Marko deserved more lives, however. This guy was like Pee Wee Herman going up against the American Gladiators. Sure he's got a magic football, but a little magic can only go so far. I recommend this game. Just take your time and remember, no using your hands!

Overall, Marko is a fun, quirky, and slightly innovative platformer that can be rewarding to play, even when taking into account its faults. It's arguably the best of the Good Deal Games releases that I've played so far. It doesn't push the Sega CD to its limits, but it realizes that it doesn't really have to. Still, I was subtly impressed. This game's got balls.

Marko's mixture of cartoony graphics and fairly intricate controls is often confusing which could alienate some gamers - it's like an overloaded Mario game. If you're looking for a uniquely designed game, however, Marko's Magic Football is a kick.

You don't have to be a soccer fan to enjoy Marko. You probably have to be a younger gamer, however, to fully enjoy it's buoyant platform action. For the right audience, Mark's definitely a kick.

Between stages there are mini-cartoons, but these are only mildly amusing. Marko is not a remarkable platform game, but it is a pleasant way to pass the time. If you're a Sega CD fan, I'd advise you to give this one a try. It's available from www.gooddealgames.com.
