Description
Mayawaka is the casual games market answer to
Q*Bert. Like in that classic game, the objective is to change the top color of cubes by jumping on them. However, in this version the character don't fall to his death by jumping out of the cubes perimeter.
As in the old days, there are some roaming monsters (square-shaped) that kill the character and must be avoided. Other jumping enemies change back the color of the cubes, and must be destroyed. Sometimes, a vision sprite falls on the gamefield. It gives extra lives when collected.
Mini-games appear between levels. In one, the player must catch falling geometric shapes with a bowl. In another one, the player has to find and remove matching geometric figures from a grid. There are also slide-tile puzzles, concentration and a whack-a-mole game with an ornate hammer and the popping heads of the enemies.
The main character can be controlled by either the keyboard or mouse.
