Colonel: Both X and Zero can use their ice attacks. Zero can hit him by jumping BEHIND him and then using his Ice Spear attack (since it hits from both the front and back).
Double (X only): Use Double Cyclone or if you have the Ultimate Armor, Nova Strike the living daylights out of him.
Iris (Zero only): For a while, you can't cause direct damage to Iris. Hit her armor a few times; she'll shoot mines out each time she does, so avoid them. After a bit, she'll release the large purple gem that formed her armor; you'll want to hit that.
Slash at it like mad, but be careful! If you hear Iris charging up, head for the wall to avoid her purple laser. The gem will attempt to follow you to where you're standing and will fire another laser vertically. Keep a distance from the lasers and continue your assault when they end.
General: As X, just use your X-Buster and blast General in the head. Zero will have to wait for the hands to bring him just close enough that he can attack General's head.
Grim Reaper Sigma: Both X and Zero should use their Fire attacks. Sigma's pattern is easy here: he'll appear above your character. Hit him with fire. Sigma will vanish, then reappear. Use fire on him again. He'll vanish and then appear on the opposite side of the room from you. Dash over to his side and stand right under him. Sigma will slash with his scythe, but the attack will miss you completely. If you're playing as X, use Rising Fire four times normally, then charge the fifth time to burn him to the ground.
Sigma Death Incarnate: "Are you ready for round two?", quoth Sigma. X should use his X-Buster; Zero can use whatever he wishes. Sigma's got another easy pattern here. Stand under him when he jumps, and he'll throw his scythe at your character's back. Dash when it comes at you and it'll circle around back to Sigma. When he throws it again, make him aim for a wall, and he'll use his laser eye attack which is much easier to dodge. The pattern continues like this for a bit, but you can easily win this battle unscathed.
Final Sigma: Oh man...here's a battle for you! Sigma's got two forms (and two life meters!!), plus one form that can cause massive headaches. When Sigma appears in his Ugly Face form (in the lower left corner), use Ground Hunter as X, and use normal Z-Sabre slashes as Zero. If he blows you towards the spikes on the opposite wall, dash like mad to counter the wind. If he sucks you into his mouth, hit every button on the controller to break free. If he appears on the right hand wall in his Laser Cannon form, use the heads as stepping stones to get up to the head (its weak spot), and have X use his X-Buster and Zero use his Sabre attacks. If you hear Sigma yell "The end!!", climb the heads IMMEDIATELY, or you'll suffer an attack that can nearly kill you instantly. Take out both forms to destroy Sigma for good. |
