Faction Pack is the third downloadable content (DLC) for Metro: Last Light and the first of four included in Metro: Last Light - Season Pass. This DLC adds three extra missions to the main game, each centering around a character from the factions in the original game. You can now play as a Polis Ranger, a Special Detachment Sniper of the Red Line as well as a Reich Heavy Squad Soldier.

Faction Pack also provides three new weapons to help you survive the post-apocalyptic wastes:
  • Hellbreath
  • Medved
  • Silent Sniper Rifle
This DLC includes three extra story missions which vary in gameplay style and can be played in any order:

  • Heavy Squad - This mission places you in a role of a heady squad Reich soldier names Hans. The Red Army is attacking the Reich and you need to hold the line. The mission is split intro three segments, first you have to use gatling gun to hold off the invasion of the Red Army infantry, second you have to take out the enemy snipers, and last you have to destroy the tank coming from the rails using a grenade launcher given to you by one of your comrades.

  • Kshatriya - As one of the rangers, you are stationed in Polis Kshatriya base where your goal is to explore the great library and retrieve the subway map from the safe room. You start with limited supplies and have to buy your filters, weapons and ammo from the local vendor. Your only source of bullet currency is by retrieving various objects and selling them (you are limited to carry only up to five different objects at the time). The local packrat has a board listing all the items he is looking for and willing to pay for. Unlike in the base game, when you kill monsters here, you can check them to find bullets. This map has to be explored gradually and you are forced to save your game progress by resting in the base, there is no progressive autosave feature as in other regular missions. The dark tunnels you explore will often have torches which can be lit by using a lighter, and broken light bulbs which can be replaced. Clearing some room of the monsters will not make it permanently safe as monsters come back after a while. Your main monster problem will be nosalises with occasional librarian creatures when you reach the great library's inner sanctum. Back at the base you can also purchase suits that can help you in combat or pass through heavily irradiated areas.

  • Sniper Team - Using a special new sniper rifle not previously available in the base game, you play as a Red Army sniper with a goal to pass through a building under heavy presence of the Reich infantry. You cannot pick up enemy weapons and have only a sniper rifle and a close-range machine-gun, both silenced. This mission is entirely stealth driven and you mustn't be discovered because the moment enemy guards ring the alarm bell, you'll have to restart from the lack checkpoint.
