Minus

Minus is a short game developed for the TIGSource Procedural Generation competition. The player controls a small character that needs to reach his home on top of the clouds. It is controlled through the arrow keys with an extra key to jump. The character can launch itself from clouds, and by timing correctly, perform combos to keep a steady pace while going upwards followed by a trail of pink flowers. Enemies consist of storms that distort the path, thunder clouds and small red suns. Collisions cause the character to turn black and drop down to lower areas.

The horizontal size is fixed and the character can only go upwards. While playing, the game keeps track of the time and progress is shown through a gauge on the right. At the title screen, players can determine a combination of four random numbers used with predefined seed values to generate different worlds and enemies with each gameplay session.
