Trivia

On 25th October 2005, Tim Larkin's original soundtrack was released on CD. It contains 17 tracks, runs over 50 minutes and also serves as an homage, of sorts, to the entire franchise. It can be ordered here.

Mark DeForest helped settle fears that Myst V cannot run on any Windows versions other than 2000 and XP. (Forum message on Myst Obsession web site)

"Even though the specs will save Windows 2000 and XP only, it is more of a support (customer service) issue than a technical issue.

We not only kept the Win 98 and Me code in the Plasma engine, but it was also tested in our QA lab and the code maintained. There were a few bugs that we will have to ship with because of some video card and sound card Win98/Me driver issues, but were isolated to just those cards.

So, what does this mean for Win 98 and Me users? For most of you, the game should run fine. However, if you have trouble and try to call the Ubisoft customer service, they will probably tell you that you are on your own.
