In one scene, General Plastro of the Tan army is threatening the Green army with videos of their troops being tortured to death. In the video, green soldiers are being held under magnifying glasses and melted to death. This is a reference to the common childhood activity of using magnifying glasses to melt plastic army men on concrete pavement.
