Overall, Chameleon Twist is the sleeper game of 1997. Yes, it's too short and easy. No, it's not worth purchasing just for the four-player mode. But don't let the kiddie-like nature of the game deter you. Otherwise, you'll be missing out on a highly enjoyable and fun adventure game. I definitely encourage you to rent it. For some, it may be worth a purchase (like me). For others, a weekend rental will suffice. Just make sure you give it a try.

Quirky games sometimes offer a nice diversion, and that's what you can expect from Chameleon Twist. The game is geared to a younger audience, but those players may become frustrated by the camera perspective problems. It's fun for awhile, but the novelty wears off and the camera angles are a real problem.

Chameleon Twist isn't worth ragging on too badly because it's not outwardly offensive in any way; it's just obviously aimed at a young audience. Really, it's a pretty innocuous little game and probably worth a rental if you have an itch for another 3D N64 platformer. You won't likely entertain any thoughts of buying it afterwards, except possibly as a present for a younger relative. Kids though, they'll eat it up.
