The Next Level
All in all, this is the definitive wrestling game. You can't ask for a better quality wrestler than this... until Smackdown! comes out. Wrestling fanatics have probably picked up their copy of this fine title, but if you got an N64 and Donkey Kong 64 isn't up your alley, I suggest taking this for a spin and seeing if it's worth the purchase. If you're one of those poor souls who's been fed on WCW Nitro and Thunder on the Playstation, do what I did; buy an N64 and this game. That's all you'll need.

Digital Press - Classic Video Games
Even with some of the flaws, this is the absolute pinnacle of wrestling games. Acclaim can longer release WWF games using their tired and outdated engine. THQ, bring it on.

Gaming Target
I suppose WWF WM2K is worth a buy. Hardcore fans of the genre will love the game, I'm sure. The only disappointment is that the wrestlers and moves don't have realistic attributes. If the wrestler you create has a punch as his signature maneuver, it will hurt your opponent a lot when you do it. Another example is that Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson are as skilled as Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Rock. You probably won't agree with me from the get-go, but if you look deep into the game, you'll realize what I'm talking about. Overall, this game isn't to pass, give it a try.

Kingdom of Desire

GameSpot
WWF Wrestlemania 2000 does a lot of things right. It's got some good gameplay, though it may be a bit too simplistic for some. It improves on THQ's last N64 wrestling game by quite a lot, especially with the addition of a good create-a-wrestler mode. But the terrible sound, only passable graphics, and general lack of originality keep this title from reaching greatness. This engine has delivered some good games, but I think it's definitely time for an all-new engine.

Game Revolution
WWF Wrestlemania 2000 looks like a solid game, and is chock full of nifty little details. But in this case, the details only accentuate the game's ultimate lack of character, and outline the space that should be filled by good gameplay.
