NASCAR Racing is a revolutionary breakthrough in video/computer game auto racing, one that will undoubtedly redefine the genre's standard for years to come.

Great graphics; stirring sound; hair-raising action. A mid-range 486 is barely adequate to run the game, even in standard VGA mode. If you're a race fan with a fast computer, your life simply isn't complete without NASCAR Racing.

CD-versiossa on myös SVGA-moodi, joka testiversiosta tosin puuttui. Eipä mitään, VGA:llakin meno maittoi kummasti.

VROOOM what a game!! I am quite experienced in all sorts of race car simulators like "Indycar Racer from Papyrus" or "Formula One Grand Prix from MicroProse", but "Nascar" from Papyrus beats them all!

Spielerisch hat NASCAR Racing mindestens so viel zu bieten wie sein Vorgänger Indy Car Racing. Die Umstellung auf die eigenwilligen Stock Cars ist reizvoll und die Strecken sind nur auf den ersten Blick monoton, dann aber enorm anspruchsvoll. Features wie die Meistschaftssaison und die individuellen, leicht wieder zu erkennenden Designs der Autos sorgen für viel Spaß beim Fahren.

This is by far the best (and most stable) racing game for the Mac. NASCAR fans who own Macs would certainly enjoy the thrill you get behind the wheel that this game provides (if you have the hardware).

Die Papyrus-Fans werden von Nascar begeistert sein, auch oder gerade weil man sich auf Bewährtes verlassen hat. Wir hingegen haben die echten Verbesserungen doch ein wenig vermiβt, denn bereits mit einer vereinfachten Steuerung wäre die Hit-Trophäe unvermeidlich gewesen. So handelt es sich halt eher um das beste Update der Welt.

Let me start off by saying that Nascar Racing is a typical racing game, but extremely detailed. It can be customized to suite both an amateur and a hardcore fan, whichever suits you more. If you play with automatic settings you can have a pleasant drive around the circuit, but if you turn off the driving aids, turn on damage and decide to set up your car manually, all hell breaks loose :) The sounds and music are pretty cool and I recommend that you play the game in DOS mode so you can hear them as the game will be pretty dull without the sounds of engine roaring and crashing. All in all, Nascar Racing is one of the first detailed Nascar games and should be respected for that fact alone. Try it out!

Nascar Racing is een van de eerste race-spellen op de PC, waar ik echt voor warm kan lopen. Het spel ondersteunt de meeste geluidskaarten op een manier dat het net lijkt alsof je in de pits staat. Schakelen wordt begeleid met een gehuil dat gewoon ziekelijk is. Sturen en tegensturen gaat zeer soepel en je kunt ook tegen het verkeer in rijden, een optie waarmee je je stuurmanskunst kan fijnslijpen. Lekker spel en zo hoort het ook.

Es hätte die beste aller Autorennsimulationen werden können. Das auf dem aktuellen Spitzenreiter Indy Car Racing basierende NASCAR kann Features bieten, von denen die meisten Simulationshersteller nur träumen. Trotzdem hat sich Papyrus mit dieser Simulation selbst ein Bein gestellt.
