Description
Natural Selection is a multiplayer-only team game where one team plays marines and the other plays aliens, and takes place in atmospheric sci-fi environments like colonies and derelict spacecraft. There's a twist: it's a hybrid RTS/FPS game, with a full resource model and tech tree.
One player on the marine team becomes the "commander" and view the world from a traditional top-down RTS perspective, issuing orders, purchasing equipment, collecting resources and researching technologies. His troops fight for him (real players with a FPS perspective), and he must lead them to victory.
Natural Selection supports up to 32 players and is currently available as a free download to owners of
Half-Life or
Counter-Strike.
