U-5544 has to be destroyed -- it simply has to be, because it's a Radar Homing Nuclear Submarine! And there it is, damned well sitting somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean.

Jeepers! If you really want to spend the rest of your natural life glued to the Speccy, you could do a lot worse than try Navy Moves. It's ludicrously difficult, but unfortunately it's also ridiculously addictive (birrova tongue twister there), so you may as well kiss goodbye to playing footie or doing anything normal this summer.

The graphics are superb and the sprites are detailed and well animated. There isn't any music during the game, but the good digitised sound effects are very good.

A fun arcade game, which produces a good combination of arcade and, later on, arcade strategy. But Navy Moves is all too easy to get into. A fun, though only moderately original game.

Remember Dinamic? They are the Spanish software house who brought you Game Over, the left to right scroller with the subtle advertising? Well they are back with Navy Moves, and take it from me, it is more than a marked improvement on its forerunners.

Those naughty terrorists have gone and 'borrowed' the brand-new American U-5544 nuclear submarine intent on launching an attack on some oil-rich Arab countries.

Graphics are good, especially when he gets his hands on a flamethrower. Sound is also good, with a lively title tune and apt effects.

There are very few things that make me furious and rabid with anger and despair. Games that are completely impossible from the very beginning come pretty close.

The hero gains plenty of changes to practise both his commando and Jacques Cousteau techniques on a variety of enemy troops. Navy Moves is tough but worth the effort.

If you want a tough challenge that you'll either conquer or will force you to destroy your Amiga in frustration then go ahead, but you have been warned.

Commodore 64Zzap!
Navy Moves offers nothing significantly new but I found myself hooked for quite some time. It's nothing flash to look at, and gameplay is a bit basic, but the blasting action is quite addictive, and Dinamic have added the need to search for items such as extra ammo and passcodes, which assist in lifting the product above the realms of a shoot-'em-up. A game which you'll warm to initially but whose lasting qualities are questionable.

Put on your flippers and snorkel and make ready with the flamethrower and harpoon gun: because it is aquatic destruction time. The U5544 nuclear submarine must be destroyed and it appears you are just the person for the job: if you can get there. Like Dinamic’s ealier game, Army Moves, it is a two-parter, access to the second part being denied until you complete the first part and receive an access code.

AmigaAmiga Action
Navy Moves is supplied in two parts. Each of these parts is loaded separately, so you can start anywhere, as long as you've got the relevant password.

Atari STComputer and Video Games (CVG)
Smarter graphics than the Commodore, but the gameplay is just as tough and frustrating. Recommended only to masochists.

AmigaComputer and Video Games (CVG)
If you've bought a Dinamic game before, you'll know what to expect - lots of frustration but plenty of action. The instructions are pretty good, even to the extent of giving you a few handy hints on baddie-bashing; it's just a pity that the graphics are below par and the difficulty level is at the point where the TV goes out of the window.
33
Commodore 64Computer and Video Games (CVG)
Even though there are only four levels the cripplingly tough gameplay means most people will spend hours of frustration completing them. The 64 is capable of much more than Navy Moves has to offer in terms of graphics and sound (despite the decent title tune), and there are many more (better) military games than this.

Navy Moves är inget undantag. Jag försökte verkligen hitta en anledning att köpa Navy Moves, men det gick inte.

AmigaAmiga Computing
This is possibly the world’s longest delayed game. Previewed shortly after Army Moves and before Game Over, it promised fabbo graphics and Dinamic gameplay – sometimes frustrating, but ultimately rewarding.
