From the new Trick Stick system to the amazingly deep career mode, nearly everything added to NBA Street V3 works perfectly. There are a few extremely minor problems with the game (mostly relating to the audio aspects), but there's no denying that this may very well be the greatest basketball game ever made, arcade or otherwise. After finishing the career mode for the first time, I found myself hopping right back in for another run, happy in the knowledge that I was in for a brand new experience the second time around. The street life might be tough, but I wouldn't want it any other way.

A mais nova partida da EA Big se prova um grande sucesso, e um dos mais divertidos jogos do estilo. Com uma opção para um jogador bem mais interessante, e sem perder a graça no multiplayer, "NBA Street V3" chega altamente recomendado.

NBA Street V3 is a truly remarkable game - not just the best basketball game ever, but also one of the best games around at the moment full stop. It's a shame that a lot of people will pass this by because it isn't their usual cup of tea; the single player game looks fantastic, plays amazingly and is huge. The multiplayer is also out of this world. While I penalised the Xbox and PS2 versions for their lack of online play (at least in the European version), the lack of online support for Gamecube makes this as good as it gets. As such, it gets the perfect score to match its perfect gameplay.

Overall, NBA Street V3 is one of the most fun games you’ll find for current-generation consoles. You don’t even need to like basketball to appreciate the game. If you played the previous games, this is definitely worth a purchase for the improvements and overall great gameplay.

I know I said this before, but I think I need to say it again. V3 is without a doubt the best arcade hoops game out there. If you’re not into the simulation games and love high-flying action, get this game without hesitation. The game does have its share of faults -- the sound and the A.I. -- but the game’s fun factor makes up for all of that. The PS2 and Xbox versions boast the online play, while the Gamecube version has playable Mario, Luigi, and Peach. The game is deeper, longer, and more fun. Why wouldn’t you pick this up?

I must admit, I am not a basketball fan. I’m willing to shoot some hoops (or miss them entirely in most cases), but I usually don’t like watching the sport or playing basketball video games. The only reason I bought this game was for Mario, Luigi, and Peach; however, I ended up getting a lot more value out of it than I expected.

These minor issues aside, NBA Street V3 is easily one of the best sports titles that have come along recently. The expansive and highly replayable Street Challenge mode can absorb gamers for months, and the level of customization is truly massive. Couple this with a redesigned, expansive trick and Gamebreaker system and you have a classic game that raises the bar of sports gaming. If you're a basketball fan, you owe it to yourself to get this game.

The best of the series by far, I would be surprised if there's a better arcade sports game released in 2005. From bouncing the ball off your opponent's noggin to draining a game-winning three, there is just so much opportunity to talk smack, to compete, and best of all, humiliate your friends by dunking on their heads, that I think this is a must-buy for gamers looking for a fun basketball game without having to worry about the differences between a Triangle and a Box formation.

Kevin Garnett must own stock in EA. Sure, he's one of the best players in the NBA, but even "The Big Ticket" has never dominated a court like he does in NBA Street V3. First you might see KG go off the "heezay", "footay" or even off the "bootay", next thing you know he's taking off from beyond the free throw line, rolling the rock along his arms Globetrotter-style, alley ooping the ball to himself -- while already in the air -- then finishing the dunk off with a spin. The letters KG appear autograph style on the screen, and Garnett even gives you a little dance to rub it in.

NBA Street took arcade basketball to a whole new level. To everyone's surprise, NBA Street V3 does that and a lot more.

NBA Street V3 is a game that is great in all areas, but perfect in none. Graphically, the decent player models could some work. The excellent soundtrack could’ve used more songs and less questionable edits, and a much less annoying announcer chiming in with comments. Online play is welcome, but not up to par with what’s being done with other sports games. There’s no great reason to play with your friends for any extended period, which is unfortunate. Surprisingly, the component this game absolutely nails is the one that has traditionally been its Achilles heel, single-player. Regardless of any faults this game has, it’s one of the best sports games on the market, sim or arcade.

For gamers who love sports games, and want to take a break from the norm, NBA Street V3 is a great game to pick up. V3 will also appeal to those who are only passive fans of basketball, because the arcade-style and feel of the game doesn’t require that you know all of the rules. Anyone is able to jump into action instantly, making V3 accessible for anyone, young or old. The new features in NBA Street V3 will also appeal to those that have tried previous versions of the game, and anyone with Xbox Live support will love challenging others across the country.

The NBA Street series has always been worth the price of admission, and V3 is no exception. With the all-new Dunk Contest and Trick Stick, NBA Street V3 is a street baller’s dream.

NBA Street V.3 marks a good progression for the franchise, by retaining true-to-the-series’ core gameplay and making some sweet additions to the formula that would warrant a purchase from those who played the first two games to death. Plus, the draw of Mario, Luigi and Peach throwing it down in a game of street hoops is far too great to ignore.

The camerawork is generally good, except for the odd angle used during inbound passes. The understated music is exceptionally good, although the loudmouth commentator wears thin after a while. V3's graphics are appreciably better than Volume 2, with flowing baggy uniforms and players with lifelike faces. With its fresh coat of paint and awe-inspiring moves, NBA Street V3 will thrill newcomers and die-hard fans alike.

For anyone who had a few doubts about what franchise was the new king of the street court doubt no more, NBA Street V3 has dominated the extreme b-ball genre. It offers everything past NBA Streets have as well as NBA Ballers (gameplay-wise) and more. With tons and tons of unlockable items and a new online multiplayer addition, the reply value of this title is off the charts and will have gamers playing it for hours on end. There?s no doubt in my mind that me and my friends will keep this title in our rotation of games for another year and a half until the inevitable Volume 4 is released.

NBA Street V3 could stand to be deeper in just about every area. However, for an arcade-style basketball game, that isn't a serious gripe. Fun and accessibility are the most important factors for a game of this class, and the solid implementation of the new Trick Stick makes NBA Street V3 one of the most entertaining, broadly playable basketball games ever made.

Overall, NBA Street V3 managed to improve upon Volume 2, which is a feat in itself. Although it isn’t perfect, most of the gamers that were looking forward to this game will enjoy it immensely. If you are looking for the game with the flashiest moves, the nicest dunks, the most replay value, the most features and some nice graphics, then don’t stop to think about it – cop NBA Street V3 today.

PlayStation 2Worth Playing
With its Street Challenge mode, six-player ability, online play, and improved graphics, NBA Street V3 is a great package and worth every penny you spend on it. EA Big has not strayed from the series' original ideals, and just refined the existing system, a gesture most fans will appreciate. The system may have changed slightly from the previous installment, but after a game, the right analog stick becomes your best friend. With the ability to play with a total of six players, you can finally bust out this game when you have a bunch of friends over just chilling and relaxing. From what I've read, the PS2 version seems to be one of the better versions because it seems created specifically for the PS2 controller. We may not be getting Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach, but we are getting the better game overall.

V3 – standing for very vivacious and vonderful (that’s a word! Sure, of course it is!) – takes the game forward, shifts it into reverse, backs up a little, then speeds ahead to become the best in the series. It’s got all the goods of the original, more refinement than the sequel, and more replay value than both predecessors.

It's been almost two years since the last iteration of the NBA Street franchise, Volume 2. While still a great game overall, NBA Street Vol. 2 wasn't quite the revelation its predecessor was. But now, with the release of NBA Street V3, it's clear that the developers at EA Sports Big clearly haven't been loafing in the off-season. The addition of online play (on the PS2 and Xbox) and a compelling single-player career mode, as well as improvements to the basic game mechanics, make NBA Street V3 the new gold standard of arcade-style basketball games.

On occasion, your CPU opponents will make some silly mistakes along the lines of using a GameBreaker to shoot a three-pointer during a dunk-only contest, but the AI is still mighty impressive. Rather than going the way of the dodo like other arcade basketball franchises, Street continues to gain momentum and is more desirable now than it has ever been.

Over-the-top basketball game. Not too much to worry about here other than seeing graffiti on the walls. You might want to explain to children that putting graffiti on walls is usually against the law, unless you own the wall.

In all, the lengthy and replayable Street Challenge mode, multiplayer options, and abundant customization settings make NBA Street V3 a fulfilling package for anyone even slightly interested in basketball (and not completely put off by the hip-hop vibe). EA’s third entry in the NBA Street franchise is a sure shot.

2 years has passed since Volume 2 and it was worth waiting; NBA Street V3 comes with a lot of new features and improvements to the previous games. The biggest change has to be the control system with the ‘trick stick’. The introduction of the slam dunk contest and the enhanced career mode injects new life into this franchise and is far from bleeding to dead. So wear your favourite NBA tanktop, grab the controller and create art on the playgrounds.

The NBA Street series has always been a great run, and with the release of NBA Street V3 it seems that the series is as strong as ever. I really enjoyed the overall package that NBA Street V3 presents, and would love to see another sequel in the spectacular NBA Street series. A few things could have been given more attention, such as the sound department and face models, but they aren’t big enough to ruin the experience. Overall, NBA Street V3 is a great installment in the NBA Street series and is one of the best, if not the best street sports game created this generation.

Oh, well. So the GameCube version doesn't have the stellar online play of the other consoles, and instead offers up Nintendo icons trying to hold their own against the likes of Lebron James and Shaq. But that doesn't make it any less of a ride. NBA Street V3 is a vastly improved game of b-ball, a heaping of extra ice cream on a cake that didn't really need it, but we're happy to have any way. The looks are more visually realized than ever before; the sound, aside from the announcer, is easy on the ears; the gameplay is a lot more unpredictable and entertaining; and the modes are bountiful and worth investing in. If you have four friends looking for a slam-dunk evening of pure, over-the-top basketball, or even if you're just a solo player tinkering with the thought of creating your own legacy, there simply is nothing better on the market. NBA Street V3 is so good, you'll want to tell your mama. Hell, the whole family.

GameCubeCheat Code Central
Great graphics, no online play and personally the controller just downright blows in my opinion. It's unintuative and aside from the A and B buttons, the button positioning on the Cube was designed by someone who knows nothing about ergonomics or heck, while I'm at it, color schemes, but that's beside the point. What you do get is Mario, Luigi and Peach as playable characters and your own Mushroom Kingdom court to play on. This is a fun novelty but it begins and ends there. Novelty. These characters just don't fit in a basketball game and their appearance is somewhat unsettling.

Some franchises just run out of steam. NBA Jam is one of them. It started off strong – redefining video game basketball as we know it – had a phenomenal sophomore year, then plummeted from grace with such momentum that even those who praised the series wouldn’t touch it with a ten-foot pole. NBA Street is walking directly in the footsteps of this highly influential game, but it has no intention of hanging its shoes up anytime soon. While sticking to the high-flying, rim-rockin’ antics that launched the series to the top of the charts, developer EA Canada has implemented enough exciting new content to make the experience fresh and addictive yet again.

This is definitely a game that can quickly have you addicted; it's clean, fast, plays incredibly well, and uses the right analog stick in an intuitive yet flexible way. Everything that the past games did well, this game does better, and with more depth to boot. If you even watched someone play one of the first two games and thought "hey, that might be kinda fun," well, it is, and you need to get out there and buy this game.
90
PlayStation 2DreamStation.cc
In closing, I think that NBA Street V3 has changed pretty significantly from the last iteration. Enough for the better that fans of the last should go out and buy this years. If you haven’t played last year’s game, you can’t miss this title or multiplayer fun. The single player is deep enough where if you are one of those friendless hermits, you will enjoy your $50 expense.

PlayStation 2Cheat Code Central
This is an excellent addition to the series and it's easy to see why it's been two years since Volume 2. While it expands on the formula set by previous versions, it doesn't change them just for the sake of change; the alterations have resulted in a better playing game all around. With the advent of online play for the PS2 and Xbox, V3 promises to provide literally months, if not years, of replay value.

Of the versions to choose from, each has its own strengths and weaknesses. The PS2 version has the most ideal control scheme, offering the best palette of buttons and shoulder buttons to perform ballhandling tricks with. On the flipside, the PS2 version also suffers from the most irritating load times, particularly in the create-a-player screens where a full grid of 3D replicas showcases in real-time your prospective choices. While no individual load time is horrendous, the amount of previews and back and forth menu swaps makes each function just a little bit longer than you'd like, making it an exercise in patience.

Featuring the expected spread of licensed NBA teams (all 30), plus classic teams of old, as well as classic street courts like New York City's "The Cage" and Rucker Park, Volume 3 gives players a vast selection of players and courts to choose from, and that doesn't count the fictional streetballers, whom players can recruit after victories. These players become a large part of your experience in Volume 3, as your customized player/court/team are all found in the Street Challenge mode, in which you spend earned "street points" on tailoring every aspect of your game. This pool of points can be spent on things like upgrading your custom player's stats (ball-handling, shooting, dunks, etc.), and buying new gear (sneakers, jerseys, headgear, custom-designed sneakers, and more).

NBA Street v3 isn't only a top game for the sports fanatic as even I, someone who finds basketball one of the dumbest sports ever, have really enjoyed this game. It's the perfect title to have a quick game, do some cool moves and several hours later notice that you're still playing. The many unlockable clothing in the shop deliver a longer lifespan for the collector and the Gamecube version has a nice extra in the form of Mario, Luigi en Princess Peach

About the only disappointment as far as presentation goes is with the game's sound. Although the actual court sounds of dribbling and dunking are sharp and accurate, the brash DJ Bobbito Garcia is back as courtside MC, and you're probably going to be just as irritated with his loud, abrasive style this time around as you were in NBA Street 2. The music is somewhat better than the announcing, with an obvious hip-hop soundtrack highlighted by the Beastie Boys, and some old-school beats from De La Soul. Still, it seems like the game could have used a few more tracks, as the music seems to get repetitive after a while, especially coupled with MC Garcia.

Style, style and more style sums up the presentation of EA's hallmark street franchise. The courts look authentic and D.J. Bobbito Garcia returns with more colorful play-by-play. The music is mostly classic hip-hop and rap artists like House of Pain and the Beastie Boys that fit nicely within the action.

So what's so good about this instalment of EAs 'mad' NBA series? Well, in addition to the solid B-balling action that NBA Street has become famed for, it's now runs as slick as Shaq's noggin smeared in Vaseline. Or something. Players instantly respond to each flick of the left stick and each pass, alley-oop or 3-pointer now glides from your grasp with ease, unlike the occasionally sticky action of NBA Street 2. There's also whole a host of excellent new novelties thrown into the mix.You now get the skill modifying Trick Stick (right analogue), for instance, that allows you to bamboozle the opposition with the merest flick of a thumb. This new inclusion is paramount to your success in the brand new and rather special Dunk Contest.

Tous en coeur : I believe i can fly, i believe i can touch the sky.

This is one of the best arcade sports titles to release. Ever. I’m a big sucker for old-school gaming, but for once, I think the new stuff has caught on when it comes to making a game all-out fun for everybody. Volume 3 has the best balance of complex sports gameplay and pick-up-and-play fun out of any other arcade basketballer out there, and that says a lot, looking at the competition. Midway’s NBA Ballers, a sort of spiritual continuation of it’s phenominal Jam series, may be running up some good competition, but EA’s game is the best in town... for now.

All-in-all, NBA Street V3 is a very solid basketball game; probably the best one out there (realistic or no) today. If you weren't really a fan of the previous NBA Street games, V3 is not going to wow you, as it doesn't innovate so much as improve on what it has done before. And, if you're already an owner of Volume 2, you might want to hesitate on picking up V3, since the additions aren't exactly groundbreaking. But, if you're a diehard fan, or skipped out on the second Street, V3 is a great arcade b-ball game, complete with tons of extras, unlockables and customization options. Now get out there are break some ankles!

Sports game developers all too often slap on a minor mode or two and call their game “new,” but NBA Street V3 actually feels like a fresh take on the series. It looks and plays better, has more depth, and includes online support for Xbox and PS2 owners, though one significant drawback is that you can’t use your created court or athlete from single-player mode. Regardless, NBA Street V3 offers up enough fresh ideas to give this series a swift kick in the shorts.

Sports fans will eat up NBA Street V3 - it's everything good to be expected from a basketball game, plus loads of customization. Everyone else - that is, people whose last basketball game was some iteration of NBA Jam - will find a fun arcade-paced basketball game that's easy to pick up, but has enough depth to make it worth sinking some time into.

NBA Street, Vol. 3 has done what I thought to be impossible. It has taken something as entertaining and dynamic as street basketball, and made it BORING. By not fixing any of the problems and by just "going bigger" while not innovating one iota, it's taken everything good about street ball and watered it down to the point that it has become a by-the-numbers yawnfest.

After a couple of games in NBA Street V3, you may well be ready to hit the showers. Unless you're hardcore about basketball, it's hard to imagine that you'll feel much different. In conclusion, if you are a dedicated baller, V3 might keep you company through the cold winter months when street play is hard to come by (at least north of the Mason-Dixon Line), but not for much longer than that.
