Carbon effectively combines the night-racing thrills of Underground 2 with the manic police encounters of Most Wanted, keeping all the best parts of each, and ditching chaff like magazine covers, drag races, pointless stereo equipment, and bounty requirements. Cross is back on your tale after your death-defying getaway from Rockport, but he's left the dress blues behind: this time, he's out solely for the bounty that rests on your head.

It happens every year, the holiday season of gaming. All the development studios get their games to the shelves in hopes of being under the tree for a special someone. However, with the volume of games, it is tricky to decide which game is “the one.” Amid all the lumps of coal are brilliant gems and one of those gems is Need for Speed: Carbon. Carbon isn’t without its problems but the overall experience is polished and the negative parts are outweighed by the positive features. While the downloadable content is sure to spark some arguments, there is enough of a game in Carbon to make the initial purchase well worth the money. Drifting and canyon racing are reason enough to at least take Carbon out for a test drive if not for the other options like Autosculpt which are a vast improvement over anything else done in the racing genre.

As it stands without the additional downloadable content, Need for Speed Carbon is as solid a racing title as there is out there. It may not be reinventing the proverbial wheel here, but by introducing new racing modes and a completely new way to drive in muscle cars, Carbon is easily worth the 60 dollar price tag.

If you are a racing game fan who has an Intel Mac with dedicated graphics, then you should definitely buy this game. NFS: Carbon offers a fun story, deep gameplay, bumper-to-bumper full car customization, and Mac vs. PC multiplayer all wrapped up in a graphically delicious package with good sound. Finally, the amazingly successful NFS franchise has come to the Mac. Enjoy.

Some carrots are better than others. Carbon does a much better job than NFS: Most Wanted of leading you on and spurring you to master its curves. And the biggest and juiciest carrots of them all are the canyon races, which are the perfect payoff to the more routine business of acquiring and holding your territory across the city. While this new element to NFS makes Carbon worth getting, it does expose the need for growth in other areas of the series.

While it’s a juxtaposition to be sitting completely still staring at a monitor and at the same time feeling like you are going 200 MPH, that absurd sensation seemed to be the goal for the creative team behind the little goliath series known as Need For Speed. Since its conception way back in 1994 (was it really that long ago?), the NFS series has long been giving all those bottled-up road-rage addicts an outlet to get their fix. Need For Speed: Carbon is no different with even more additions, challenges and customizations than ever before. But it is the smallest incremental step forward in the series, feeling more like a rehash of Most Wanted than a “start-from-scratch” production. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I really enjoyed Most Wanted and thought it was an excellent game, but because of the lack of innovation I wouldn’t necessarily call Carbon a break through title.

While many may miss the always-around-the-next corner, full-force police chase excitement from Need for Speed Most Wanted, Need for Speed Carbon still provides an adrenaline speed-rush with the spectacularly exhilarating drift racing down the curvaceous canyon roadways. Although the challenge factor isn’t really high thanks to the virtual absence of police chases, Need for Speed Carbon is yet another fantastic pedal-to-the-metal adventure that the franchise has built its reputation on.

Need For Speed: Carbon is another solid entry in a solid series of arcade racers. The core racing action is still sound, but the new features are a mixed bag. While the addition of muscle cars and the new Autosculpting feature are both great, the canyon races and crew members are grating at best. Regardless, Carbon is still a fun racing title that should please anyone who’s a fan of the genre.

It’s a shame that EA decided to drop the intense cop chases from Most Wanted. Carbon is still a very addicting game even though the drift races don’t work quite as well as they should. The canyon races can get passionate at times and the underlying racing is as solid as ever. The Wii version of Carbon makes novel use of the Wiimote, but there have been some compromises made to bring to the console such as limiting the number of racers onscreen (from 20 to a max of four) and removing online play. The Wiimote controls aren’t enough to jstify these compromises, but on its own Carbon is still an enjoyable racing game.

Nonetheless, Carbon still stands above most race games of this type. Despite its shortcomings, to get so much right on its first try for a PS3 launch title shows that the Need for Speed series still has life despite its many sequels.

Ich mag Need for Speed Carbon.

After completing NFS: Carbon, I can certainly say that it was yet again another satisfying experience. The amount of customization options behind the game easily make this the most worthwhile NFS 'tuner' title to date. Carbon may not be for those who still have a non-HDTV as the picture displayed is pretty poor and that's unfortunate. But if you do have an HDTV and aren't awaiting to be blown away by the visuals, then you'll find yourself quite content with Carbon. While it may have reverted back to a nocturnal setting, the series continues to offer a good deal of replay value -- as the gameplay retains its addictive traits and features. The audio boasts terrific surround sound output with the engine and exhaust notes coming to life in your room, but the EA Trax may not please all. And of course, online will likely have you coming back every now and then.

Need for Speed Carbon makes a smaller leap forward than Most Wanted did, but the series does remain king amongst the accessible and classic arcade racers. With beautiful graphics, varied races, a good driving model and endless options for personalisation flavored with a story consisting of cool cut-scenes this is an easy chunk of entertainment. But personally we would have loved to see some more innovation, body and depth and less shallow innovations like the crew members.

D’ailleurs, j’y retourne !

While the addition of "wingmen" is cool, their practical effect is that they make the game too easy. As a consequence, initially, moderately experienced racers will win most races. However, that winning streak will come to a screeching halt when faced with Boss races, intense competition where you can actually win territory, because those races are incredibly hard and frustrating. Most of the Boss races involve racing downhill in a twisting canyon at high speed. If you take a single turn in a less-than-perfect manner, you'll have to replay the entire race. Need for Speed Carbon would have been a better game if the developers had found a happy medium between these two levels of racing difficulty.

It has decent enough racing to sell to racing fans, but enough variety to appeal to those of us who bore quickly of driving in circles. Forgoing realism for arcade style controls doesn't hurt, either. The story, although kind of dorky and acted out by dorky looking actors (not their fault, though, it's just they way they're presented), seems oddly appropriate for the game. Unfortunately, the extreme difficulty of the later levels may turn off many players, but at least we won't have to worry about these players taking out their frustrations on the highway late at night.

EA Canada has once again made a quality racing title. Need for Speed Carbon is a solid arcade-style racing game that mixes elements of Underground with Most Wanted. Some of it works, some of it feels forced. The boss races went from fifteen in Most Wanted to four in Carbon. It's not hard to feel cheated. With all of the time they spent exhibiting a cheesy West Coast/Hollywood persona in their nonsensical storyline, they could have put it into a longer game. Although I suggest that EA get an identity for their racing franchise and stick with it, Need for Speed Carbon wins my approval.

With extensive customization (including an expansive ability to modify every part via sliders), Carbon is an arcade racer that nicely slides into become a game for car nuts and fans of pure racing. It had potential to break out into something completely fresh, but given the time frame, Carbon is a success worthy of the Need for Speed name.

Need for Speed Carbon doesn’t advance the series much over Need for Speed: Most Wanted, although both games are huge improvements over the Need for Speed Underground variations. Need for Speed Carbon is a gorgeously fast racer, with plenty of compelling action and a surprisingly meaty single player game.

All said, Need for Speed: Carbon is a fun game that continues to build upon EA's long running racing series. That said, it really is no better that what players were given in Most Wanted just a dozen months earlier. Far from being revolutionary, and just shy of even being considered an evolution of the series, Carbon exists in that dubious realm of being simply a largely unnecessary annual update. There's fun to be had, and those looking for yet another racing game have an option in what EA has put together here, just don't expect to be floored by what is essentially just a rehashing of ideas we've all seen before.

There wasn't a whole lot wrong with last year's Need for Speed Most Wanted, so it wasn't like the folks at EA had to do any serious rebuilding. What they've given gamers in Need for Speed Carbon are a few new toys to play with and a revved-up online experience. The new goodies aren't all winners -- the wingman concept didn't bowl me over, paying instead of playing to unlock extras bites -- but there are enough innovations that work to make this feel like more than just an updated version of an old and successful game.

Need for Speed Carbon is an overall fun racing game, though in large part it's simply more of the same from EA. Cars still feel too similar to each other, and as they're the stars of any racing game, we wish there was a bit more character here. Autosculpt is a fantastic addition to the series' already great customization features. Carbon winds up being a pretty fun racer, and fans of Most Wanted likely won't be disappointed.

Going back to my original point at the start of this review, it would be easy to bash NFS Carbon as being just another update released for the Christmas rush, but to give it it's due it's a more than decent street racer with a few new ideas packaged together and given the usual EA polish. If you've not played a NFS game recently then this is worth a look and if you have and enjoyed it then this isn't going to offer any surprises, but just like a turkey dinner it will probably more than satisfy you.

Seeing how this is the first Need for Speed game to grace Sony’s new platform it is hard not to recommend it. It could have been better, there is no denying that – a greater emphasis on canyon racing would have been nice and nobody would have complained if the game was a tad more challenging (without making the AI cheat even more). And why the heck does the game look better on the 360!? Still, despite all its flaws the game manages to deliver a solid racing experience that few games can match. In the end, that is all that really counts, isn’t it?
78
WindowsGameguru Mania
Despite its flaws, Need for Speed Carbon is a good arcade racer with a lot of enjoyable moments to offer. It's not as good as Most Wanted or Porsche Unleashed but it's still one of series' highlights. If you're searching for a good racing game this is it.

EA tries to do a lot with NFS: Carbon, but that still doesn't help me shake the feeling that the accelerated pace of NFS releases is in many ways pointless and counter-productive. It dilutes the overall impression of the franchise, rather than make it more appealing to the fans. Now if I had a penny for every time I said this exact same thing about an EA franchise, I'd probably have a lot of pennies by now.

Ultimately, Need for Speed Carbon doesn't make the best use of some of the strengths from Need for Speed Most Wanted. Many of the changes made to the Most Wanted formula seem to be for the sake of change, but it all still just comes back to the solid driving action, which Need for Speed Carbon puts to good use.

It’s one thing for the current-gen versions of this game to be not as visually compelling (such as the sense of speed not being as good), but it’s unfortunate that you only race against three other cars during typical challenges. Plus, one of those three is a teammate, so you’re really only got two other competitors out there. Add on the fact that these versions have no online at all, and the differences aren’t minor.

Although Need for Speed Carbon on the Wii is essentially a quick port of the Xbox version, the unique control system makes it its own game. The controls are new and innovative, but to a large percentage of racing fans they won’t seem to fit. There is a lot of potential for this control system as developers get used to the Wii’s controls, but it may take some time. This is still a fun arcade racer with a good story and great customization. I do recommend it, but rent it first, because it’s not for everyone.

Those looking for an enjoyable driving game to pick up for their new Wii console are definitely going to appreciate what Need For Speed Carbon has to offer. The game has a wide range of cars, a nice amount of customisation options and a healthy selection of race types. I actually enjoyed playing the game with the default controls (with the sensitivity maximized) and with a little practice it actually felt rather intuitive. Is it better than the usual control schemes you have in games of this type? It’s not as good as using a steering wheel but some may prefer it to the standard controller configuration that you’ll find on the other consoles. The lack of an online mode is a little disappointing but seeing as no Wii game so far supports online gaming it’s hardly surprising. If you’re after some four-wheeled action on your Wii at the moment then NFS Carbon is definitely the game to go for at this point in time.

The PS3 version adds nothing, then, and even mysteriously loses bits in translation - gone is the photo mode from the Xbox 360 version, and there are graphical cutbacks too (most obviously when drafting one of your wingmen). Most curious. So in all honesty, this really isn't the best version of the game available. And with MotorStorm on the shelves too, your first choice for a racing game to grace your PS3 is clear. But this is enjoyable enough in its own right.

While not outstandingly innovative, Need for Speed Carbon for the Wii is a great step in the right direction in terms of giving us a game that takes advantage of Nintendo’s revolutionary hardware. While it takes awhile to get a hang of the controls, the game itself is a fun ride that might not take the game to a completely new direction but the few changes are a good start. If you’re a Need for Speed fan or want more racing action for your new console, you might want to consider buying this one.

Do all new console launches have to ship out with endless stripped-down ports? In the past year, we're seeing this happen not once, but three times. What's even more troubling is the fact that each new system that comes out is supposedly more powerful than the machines already on the market, so why do titles end up dropping features? It's definitely not for new ones. But, the features missing in Need For Speed Carbon are quite minimal when you compare the PS3 to the Xbox 360.

Previous Need for Speeds have dramatically changed the way we look at racing games. Most recently Underground moved the needle on presentation, and Most Wanted revived the gameplay ideas that made Hot Pursuit 2 so beloved. While Carbon is peppered with clever little ideas, ultimately it falls victim to EA's insistence on annually iterating the franchise. It refines previous ideas but lacks that big "wow" factor we've seen in the past. It's thoroughly, thoroughly competent and shouldn't be overlooked, but it really is "Need for Speed Again."

Executive producer Larry LaPierre and producer Steve Anthony were faced with a potentially insurmountable challenge when they took on Need for Speed Carbon. Helming the fourteenth game in one of the most successful racing-game franchises of all time no doubt brought a unique set of challenges. Not only did they have to meet the ever-evolving demands of long-term franchise fans, but they were also faced with producing the second game in the series on the Xbox 360 -- a task which brought with it a whole other trunkload of baggage.

In the end, this race is barely a race at all. The 360 is the winner by a mile, and for the price of those wheels, no doubt it should be. The Xbox comes in a distant second with fewer cars and none of the cool online modes. And trailing way behind that is the PS2, a run-down jalopy that probably shouldn’t even be on the road. Pick your car carefully.

Before it gets cursed or adulated, the latest Need for Speed game will be played, and once the virtual world opens its doors, the opportunities provided by the gameplay, no matter how defective in presentation, will manage to provide the anticipated fun dosage, pre-eminently in multiplayer sessions. Obviously, I'm talking about a proposition primary addressed to the fans, which have the "moral" obligation to finish the game at least once, although it represents a surprising regress in the quality department, and EA's "masterminds" are not able to offer a complete package, despite their experience with the four previously titles. But it seems that my own wish slinked in here, a desire that I'm beginning to think will never be fulfilled. At least, not before the end of time or until the game's license will be snatched from the "electronic artists" hands.

Need For Speed Carbon is a good beginning to the series on the PlayStation 3, although with that said there is a certain degree of disappointment with the game. The game is essentially identical to the other versions of NFS Carbon so if you've played the game on any of the other formats you might not want to purchase the game again simply because it's on the PlayStation 3. The graphics do look better but they are not the standard you'd expect from the PlayStation 3. Neither is the frame rate, which fails to remain constant although it's certainly an improvement on the PlayStation 2 and PC versions. Support for deaf gamers is just as poor too, which is very disappointing. However, if you are a fan of the Need For Speed series and didn't pick up NFS Carbon on any other format then you'll be happy with what NFS Carbon has to offer because even with its problems it's still a solid launch title.

WiiIGN
Compared to some of your other launch options, Need for Speed Carbon just doesn’t cut it as an upgraded GameCube “Wii-make”. While the control is actually pretty solid - using the Wii controller as a virtual steering wheel - the technical limitations are just too numerous to ignore. On one hand you have a game that simulates arcade driving amazingly well using a tiny tilt-enabled remote instead of a bulky (and extremely expensive) racing wheel peripheral. On the other hand, however, you’ve got a game that not only feels a bit under par visually when compared to other Wii titles thus far, but also takes a huge hit in frame rate. The game manages to play well, display in 16:9 and 480p, but simply dies when it’s expected to put anything more than 20-30 frames per second, and that really hurts the experience.

PlayStation 3GameSpot
Need for Speed Carbon on the PlayStation 3 looks roughly comparable to its Xbox 360 counterpart--which is to say it looks really good, with some heavy-motion blur around the edges of the screen, lots of good-looking bump mapping, and slick lighting and reflection effects. There are a few subtle differences, most of which the PlayStation 3 version comes up on the short end of. The PS3 seems to have more jagged, aliased edges, and a framerate that is a little more stuttery. The soft glow and motion-blur effects do look better on the PS3 version, though there's times that it's laid on a bit too thick.

After rebooting the franchise with Need for Speed Underground, EA has continued to produce some solid street racers under the Need for Speed banner. Last year's Need for Speed Most Wanted, which featured hilariously over-the-top live-action cutscenes and seriously tense police pursuits, proved to be a high watermark for the franchise. Now it's being followed up by Need for Speed Carbon, which downplays the role of the police chases, introduces some simple team-racing mechanics, and occasionally takes the action off the city streets and into the outlying canyons. The new gameplay doesn't always improve the experience, but the racing can still be quite intense and still has a pronounced sense of style.

Last year, EA kicked off its next-gen racing experience with Need for Speed Most Wanted, so it's only appropriate that this fall see Need for Speed Carbon appear not just on Xbox 360, Xbox and PlayStation 2, but also on the PlayStation 3. Last year's Xbox 360 outing had some holes yet managed to be one of the year's most purely enjoyable racing experiences, so it's surprising that EA went back to the drawing board for Need for Speed Carbon. And unfortunately, going back to the drawing board this time around actually meant undoing much of what was so fun about last year's outing in the first place.

Need For Speed: Carbon is another solid entry in a solid series of arcade racers. The core racing action is still sound, but the new features are a mixed bag. While the addition of muscle cars and the new Autosculpting feature are both great, the canyon races and crew members are grating at best. The tacked-on Wii controls and lack of online multiplayer hurt, but Carbon is still a fun racing title that should please anyone who’s a fan of the genre.

Need for Speed Carbon for the PS2 is a prime example of what you're going to see more and more of as we head deeper into the next-gen era. On the plus side, the game includes a few new innovations -- wingmen, Autosculpting, etc. -- that the developers came up with in an attempt to make the PS3 version leap out as an early must-buy game. On the negative side, with the future belonging to the PS3, the 360, and the Wii, corners -- like online play -- will continue to be cut on games for last-gen consoles. That said, if you're looking to get a few more hours of fun out of your aging black box, Need for Speed Carbon isn't a bad way to do it.

By and large, Need for Speed Carbon is a satisfying racing game. It's nothing terribly groundbreaking, but it does introduce some new features to jazz up the genre. Ultimately, it's extremely similar to the last few titles in the Need for Speed series, so if you're a fan, you're in luck. The music in this version is probably some of the best of the entire series (I nearly freaked out completely when I heard the Lady Sovereign track kick in), bending and shaping your aftermarket parts using Autosculpt is suitably amusing, and the stylized, high-contrast cutscenes have a cool feel to them. There's not much here to differentiate the PS3 version from current-gen consoles besides the sweet high-resolution graphics (and in the case of the Xbox 360, not even that), but if you have a PS3, there are worse games you could play on it.

I'm sad to say Need for Speed: Carbon just isn't as pleasurable as last year's NFS: Most Wanted. While the sheer amount of content vastly outweighs Most Wanted, finishing the game requires a serious amount of patience and makes for an extremely boring ride. Achievements are a bit too ridiculous to chase after and the multiplayer is a nasty lag-fest of maximum proportions. Add in EA's moronic content pricing on Marketplace for Carbon and it's easy to realize the game isn't worth the trouble. With plenty of other great racers for the 360, like Test Drive Unlimited, Carbon deserves nothing more than a rental.

NFS Carbon as a game on its own is extremely well done but in the context of the previous two games, it simply doesn't separate itself enough.

With heavier handling, a better story and tighter Live play, Carbon should have been far greater than it is. Sadly, sub-par graphics and an overwhelming sense of deja-vu prevent it from ever reaching the standards set by fellow racers TDU and even the earlier Need for Speed Underground games, when all this was fresh. It's common- practice to cite the 3D0 version of Need for Speed as the best in the series, but EA really do need to take this in an all new direction for next year's game. Carbon is bright and brash, and has it's moments, but we've all done this before and don't really want to do it again in 12 months time.

Given that there is actually a fairly substantial selection of racing titles at launch for the PS3, it's hard to say that this game is better than the others. Sure there's some great customization and some decent modes of play, but something just feels off in the game. The fact that the graphics are actually worse than the 360s are a real blemish to the game; and the controls while passable aren't spectacular enough to warrant a purchase. The SIXAXIS addition is once again laughable, with only slight turning enhancements available. This definitely is not the best Need For Speed title that's been produced, but they took bits and pieces from it and tried to add more to the game, which deserves some credit.

While it’s far from a complete failure – it’s still easily this year’s finest street racing game, and damn good fun for a few hours – it’s disappointing that its content is a mixed bag of outstanding fun and bad ideas. What the series needs is not useless gimmicks and badly rehashed game mechanics, but good, old-fashioned racing fun. We don’t need customisable bells and whistles; what gamers really want is a Need for Speed that uses its strengths, and doesn’t try to shoe-horn in its weaknesses for the sake of bullet points on a press release.

But when it comes down to it, no amount of extra content can disguise the glaring fact that Need For Speed Carbon is a backward step from last year's release. The fact that it's less challenging may make a lot more accessible to the mass market audience that it's so desperate to pander to, but the net result is that it's also, on balance, a slightly less exciting and enjoyable game. But let's be clear: Carbon is never less than a solid, polished and effortlessly entertaining game - and the online component gives it long-term appeal - but after roaring through the gears with Most Wanted, this is most definitely EA going Carbon neutral.

Need for Speed.

The game auto-saves your progress, but since it never explicitly tells you it's saving, you always get that nervous feeling before shutting the game off. I also need to admonish EA for their flimsy, skimpy instruction manual. Perhaps EA was trying to save two cents per game so their CEO could buy another yacht, but when you charge $60 for a game, cutting corners like that is unforgivable. In fact, this is one game that clearly could have benefited from a decent instruction book, considering all symbols that appear on the screen. Need For Speed Carbon is a good looking game that provides some high-speed thrills, but it left me feeling less than satisfied.

As a single player experience, Carbon proves itself as a worthwhile title. Almost limitless customization coupled with the new wingman feature let Carbon stand out from other street racing titles. Minor graphics gripes aside, the poor online functionality does serve to handicap this title. An intuitive lobby system and latency-free online play are the only missing ingredients that keep Need for Speed: Carbon from being recognized as an excellent gaming package.

GameCubeNintendojo
It's hard to say that EA is giving GameCube owners a favor with Carbon, they are a business after all, but it probably doesn't hurt. Kids will play and enjoy this game, finish it and move on. Those really interested in the seedy world of illegal street racing aren't going to find any more substance than they would in 3 Fast 3 Furious, but it might be worth a rent. 2006 hasn't seen too many solid racers, so those looking for a fix might not have a choice, especially on the GC. It's pretty much $40 for this or $300 for a Wii and Excite Truck, as far as Nintendo consoles are concerned, and that's exactly what EA is banking on.

NFS: Carbon is an enjoyable enough game for a few hours. Testing out the new additions and playing around with the new options is more than mildly diverting. However, after a while the tediousness of the city-scape and the simplicity of the driving model conspire to make one think of the other things that could be done with the time. Despite its faults I really enjoyed Carbon for a few days but once my interest had piqued I found little to compel me to pick it up again other than to broaden my experience of the game so as to write a more complete review. Seeing as this is not a compulsion you readers will have to endure I think it likely that Carbon is best recommended as a rental as most of what can be had from the game can be squeezed out in a weekend's play.

Gdzie zmiany w stosunku do wersji na X360? Gdzie jakiś zabójczy patent z wykorzystaniem czujników ruchu w Sixaxis’ie? Gdzie wreszcie lepsza oprawa graficzna, względem poprzednich wersji!?

Need for Speed Carbon is one of those games that simply isn't best played on the Wii. Racing games are yet to prove themselves on the system, and Carbon is another that suffers due to the Wii's controllers. Control issues aside, it's another solid racer from EA, and the Auto-Sculpt feature is absolutely fantastic. If you've been following the series up to this point, and were a fan of last year's Most Wanted, Carbon should be right up your alley, but the Wii version shouldn't be the version you play.

Additionally, the poor implementation of the Wii-mote control and the lack of multiplayer options ruin the overall experience. It's fairly easy to realize the game just isn't worth the trouble. While the Wii is currently limited in the racing games department, Carbon deserves nothing more than a rental. Stick with Excitetruck if you have a need for speed.

Need For Speed Carbon on Wii has all the ingredients that made the other versions great. Because of the wonky motion control, however, I recommend you skip it in favor of more traditional means of control. Mastering it is just too big of a hassle, and every other platform's offering has better multiplayer options anyway (a little thing called online).

In Carbon, EA have tried to create something new for the series, but aside from the enjoyable canyon duels nothing actually works the way it should. A huge omission is the lack of online play at all, and releasing an Xbox racer without an online component is like building a car without wheels. Need for Speed: Carbon is not a bad game, just one that misses the mark quite considerably.

Overall I felt this game was a step backward in the series. Fans of the 2 year old Underground game will love this one, while fans of Most Wanted may want to sit this one out. I prefer Most Wanted to this game, just because it seemed to be more of a challenge and I was more excited to play. This one feels like the other nighttime racing games that we’ve already played, and although the autosculpt and customization is really a nice touch, that alone is not going to win me over to keep playing this game. The game is definitely worth a rental, but that’s about it.

Steer clear of this, but don't use the remote to do so. Ha!

I wish I could be more positive about this game. For a brief while it was actually quite good fun, but it suffers too heavily from the niggles that make it feel like an unfinished porting experiment. I'm sure many will love the game, and of course this is all a matter of opinion - my advice, if you like The Fast and the Furious or any of the previous Need for Speed games, buy this pre-owned.

Overall, I’m going to have to give this half empty 5 rubber chickens. I felt the game was too short, not as much fun as the previous ones and felt more like an expansion for Most Wanted.
