Highly refreshing and highly entertaining. It's the game you can enjoy between other serious games without ruining your appetite.

Oddly enough there are 3 seasons to the game, each having their own set of levels that you can play. While there are quite a few levels in the game, it does seem very short. You can easily beat this game within a few hours. While this may be short, it is great fun and I advise everyone to give this great game a try.

But overall, Neighbors from Hell is a lot of fun. I see it appealing more to casual gamers, or for those gamers looking for something different. I do stand by my belief that both the games presentation and control scheme are revolutionary, and deserve special recognition. But at the same time, the game is too much of a niche product to award as a whole. In a lot of ways, Neighbors from Hell is just like the reality TV craze it spoofs off. People will come, and people will like it. My only question is, for how long?

While this clever European import proves there are still fresh and innovative concepts for PC gamers, the fun is over too quickly. A skilled player will be able to complete all 14 episodes in about two or three hours. But the relatively cheap price tag of $30 makes this shortcoming more tolerable.

Neighbors From Hell is a nice, addictive little game. It is not for everyone but surely it was worth every second of my time. It supplied lots of laughs and was an enjoyable experience. Its only shortcoming is a lack of variety in the rooms that could have allowed for more tricks and less repetition.

Ever played Secret Of Monkey Island, Day Of The Tentacle or Sam And Max Hit The Road? Then you'll love Neighbours From Hell. Really, you will. Okay, so it's not exactly a sprawling adventure game in the same vein as the LucasArts classics, but it's the closest you're going to get until George's firm bother to release the sequels it's been promising for so long.

All in all the game is quite fun, but in my opinion will appeal to a younger audience or the casual gamer that does not want to read a hefty manual before getting started. The in-game tutorial is nicely executed eliminating the need for any manual what so ever. Because the lack of re-playability I feel the $30 MSRP is bit high.

Overall, Neighbors from Hell is an amusing puzzle game with some interesting twists. It's not very long and it's not very difficult, but it is charming and addictively entertaining, and definitely worth a look in the bargain bin if you're into puzzle games.

Brevity is the main drawback here: you can beat the whole game in just a few hours. But it’s funny while it lasts.

Watching the hapless neighbor fall for one gag after another appeals to the sadist in all of us, and you'll often feel a little twinge of anticipation as he approaches each trap you've set up. For some, the jokes may wear thin quickly, but you'll still get some thrill out of setting up several pratfalls in the same room and diving under the bed to hide at the very last moment. Despite the disappointment of a rather short campaign, Neighbors From Hell is still worth a look for any strategy or puzzle game fan looking for something out of the norm.

Nun durchsuchen Sie per Mauszeiger das gesamte Interieur nach nützlichen Utensilien.

Neighbors From Hell is not exactly a jaw-dropper, although it does succeed in being just quirky and original enough to keep one entertained. How long that entertainment lasts is the primary problem with the game, as the combination of puzzle-solving and strategy works well, but there simply are not enough episodes and environmental variations to keep the player engaged for more than 5 hours at the maximum. The game is not bad by any means; it’s just rather simplistic and functions mainly as a casual diversion. In this sense, casual gamers may find Neighbors From Hell to be the quick fix they have been craving, although those who desire more substance from their games will be let down hard.

Aside from the light difficultly level, the only serious flaw with Neighbors From Hell is that it's just too short. You'll probably finish all seventeen episodes in five or six hours, and even the most casual gamer is unlikely to take more than ten. Difficult missions rarely take more than half a dozen tries. That means that at its current price of about thirty dollars, it's hard to recommend. What's here is perfectly executed, but you won't really be getting your money's worth until the game is in the bargain bin or if Encore and JoWooD release enough free add-on missions to bump the play time up a few hours.

It's a shame Neighbours From Hell couldn't have been more expansive. The concept is fantastic, and for a while it's pulled off very well, but once you've electrocuted, burned, pricked, poisoned and injured the poor guy for more than an hour or so, you will find yourself hankering for more neighbours to visit and more houses to terrorise. We wouldn't blame you for changing the channel when they don't come.

Wie treibt man einen Mitbewohner am besten in den Wahnsinn? Böse Nachbarn gibt Antworten. Ihre Aufgabe ist es, richtig fies zu sein: Zuerst durchsuchen Sie Schränke und Schubladen der 2D-Wohnung in Adventure-Manier nach geeigneten Gegenständen, dann machen Sie sich an die Arbeit.

Böse Nachbarn macht eine Zeitlang Spaß, ist aber viel zu schnell vorbei: Spätestens nach drei Stunden haben Sie alle Abschnitte gelöst, jeden Streich mehrfach gesehen. Fazit: eine nette Idee, doch deutlich zu wenige Levels.

Si l'idée de base est finement trouvée, il est bien regrettable que finalement l'humour s'évapore comme une goutte d'eau en plein désert. La faute à des histoires de voisinage qui finissent trop vite par tourner en rond. Décidément ils sont bons à rien ces voisins.

That said, NFH is an amusing and playful diversion from guns and aliens - for a while. Unfortunately, with only 14 'episodes', it's too shallow to offer lasting entertainment. If you want neighbour terrorising tactics that go beyond a single day, try living in my flat.
