The King of Fighters '98: Dream Match Never Ends

Takeshi and Mika used to be the DJ's of Japan's "Neo-Geo DJ Station" back in the mid-late 1990's. There is a way you can see them make a special appearance.

For this secret to work:

One character of your (or your friend's, if you have one) team must be Choi Bounge. He must also be placed on 2nd or 3rd place because you need to have him in Round 3 (but not the last round).

You need to be playing on the Japan Street stage for this to work. The secret will only appear if you are playing on this stage.

The round must be "Round 3," but not the last round. That is why you need to place Choi in 2nd or 3rd place, because if you place him in 1st place, the battle will end in the 3rd round.

Now, here is how to see this special appearance:

1. You should not defeat your opponent with a PERFECT. So, let your opponent hit you once or twice.

2. Now finish off your opponent with Choi's "Hou'ou Kyaku" DM/SDM (execution: qcf, hcb + K).

3. You also need to make sure that the timer has not reached the 30 seconds mark when the round is over.

4. As soon as Choi finishes off his opponent with his "Hou'ou Kyaku" DM/SDM, immediately press and hold the "C" button.

5. If you keep holding the "C" button and the timer has not reached the 30 seconds mark, you will then see Takeshi and Mika ride by in the background on a bicycle (Takeshi is the bicyclist, and Mika is the passenger) during Choi's win pose. During this appearance, Takeshi will say something in Japanese, which randomly changes each time they appear.

Also, on Player 1 or Player 2's side of the screen (whoever lost that round), the following text will appear:

PLAYER 2 LOST.

ADVANTAGE GIVEN.
