On the surface, Adventures in Magic Kingdom seems aimed squarely at kids, but even adults will enjoy the challenge of collecting all of the keys. The game could have used a few more attractions (the Jungle Cruise comes to mind), or at least a few hidden surprises around the park. As it stands Adventures in the Magic Kingdom is a pleasant collection of mini-games that should appeal to Disney fans of all ages.

I would recommend any other Capcom/Disney title over this one. That being said, it certainly is worth a cheap pickup – especially if you are a fan of the other games in the series. Of course, it goes without saying that this game is a poor replication of Disneyland but I’ll probably play it right before my next trip to the Magic Kingdom.

I love Disney World and the amazing attractions therein. Adv. Magic Kingdom only comes within a half an inch to this feeling through only two of the five stages mentioned above. Everything else could have been planned better by almost anyone that has actually been through the parks themselves. Oh yeah before I forget! Why wasn't there a Splash Mountain mini-game, huh? It's just only one of the most popular rides in the park! Still, I would recommend this to any fan of either Disney Land or World (since the rides are almost 100% identical). Everyone else, well, you have been warned.

This is really a bummer overall, especially when one considers how many great Disney games Capcom released around the same time in a span of only a few years. What in the hell happened here? I don't know, but something needed to happen, I know that. There's only one thing that needs to be said. Back in the NES era, Nintendo Power would feature the best of new games in article form. Those that weren't so hot were generally in the quick review section or just briefly mentioned. Adventures in the Magic Kingdom was one of them. Anyone back then knew, if a game was back there, hope to god you don't get it.

As perhaps you can tell, I don't think too highly of this game. It must have sounded good to Capcom on paper, and perhaps it could have been. But since the team never really flushed out any one of the areas, it feels like several extremely short and inadequate games slapped together in one package. What this means for you as a gamer looking at a potential purchase is that unless you can find this for under $4, you probably don't need it for your collection (unless, of course, you're collecting all Capcom's Disney games, in which case you haven't much choice).

Adventures in the Magic Kingdom won't be spending much time inside my NES. This isn't necessarily because it's a bad game; rather, I've nothing left to accomplish after beating it. Without it's Walt Disney World facade, this title is just a bunch of mediocre games pasted together with an ugly world map. I was really hoping that the game could capture some of the magic that the Magic Kingdom has for me, but this just wasn't the case. Still, Adventures in the Magic Kingdom isn't a "bad game", per se -- it's just not as good as it should have been.
