Adventures of Rad Gravity

Rad Gravity is yet another very good Nintendo platform game. There's certainly plenty of action, and the sprites are really good - Rad looks the part with his whopper chin and his manful swagger as he strides into action, and some of the baddies are beautifully animated. It's a shame the backdrops aren't also up to the same high standards - they're rather plain and dull - but I suppose you can't have everything. The gameplay is quite tough, and the emphasis is squarely on blasting action, so this should therefore appeal to platform addicts who don't like puzzles getting in the way of their shooting and jumping.

Z początku ta gra wydawała mi się nudna, jednak im dłużej grałem, tym poziomy stawały się ciekawsze, a gra zaczęła wymagać nie tylko zręczności ale i odrobiny główkowania. Całość jest typową zręcznościówą - platformówą, ubarwioną przez twórców animowanymi wstawkami. Można pograć.

"Rad Gravity" eignet sich wunderbar für ausgeschlafene Tüftler und Kartenzeichner. Denn in höheren Spielstufen ist man ohne einen zünftigen Lageplan hoffnungslos verloren. Spielerisch ist eher Geschick und Taktik denn schnelle Reaktionen gefragt. Leider hängt der lebenswichtige Ausgang einiger Spielsituationen nur von einer Prise Glück ab und nicht von der Fingerfertigkeit des Spielers. Dazu trägt ärgerlicherweise die etwas zu träge Steuerung bei. Ansonsten gibt es wenig zu meckern: Die Grafik ist bunt und abwechslungsreich, und die Gegner sind ausgefuchst. Nur der Sound nervt auf Dauer etwas.

Overall, this game is average, which isn’t bad. If you are into this kind of game, I recommend you give it a try if you can find it cheap. Otherwise, I’d just not bother with this game.
