SummaryA game that tries too hard
The GoodThe storyline is that a boy with an unusual name (Astyanax) from the real world is magically zapped into a magical world where he must don armor and weapons to rescue the princess. To list strong points about the game, it was a little bit different from the usual NES side-scrolling action game in that the game characters were slightly larger than the usual NES characters and the graphics and color schemes were unique.
The BadI always felt that this game tried too hard. The game did its best to integrate cinema cut scenes but they were unsuccessful because they were so painfully slow-moving. Indeed, this was a problem with a lot of older NES games that attempted to have a deep story. Astyanax is an okay game but it just seemed to miss the mark in a lot of ways.
