How does Kirby find himself wrapped up in another crusade for the residents of Dream Land? Not surprisingly, the notoriously naughty King Dedede is to blame. King Dedede has stolen the Star Rod, which fuels the Fountain of Dreams. Unable to dream, the poor residents of Dream Land become unsettled and the peaceful land falls into turmoil.

Kirby may not look tough, but he hasn't survived a 10-year video game career by being a softie! Kirby, a Warpstar Knight-in-training, is able to float over dangerous obstacles, eat enemy projectiles and copy his enemies' abilities.

Bottom Line

Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land is great for Kirby fans because of the wide variety of copy abilities Kirby can use throughout the game. Awesome graphics and solid play control add to the game's appeal, while the minigames really pump up the replay value. Once again, Kirby serves up a super-fun adventure that's fun for players of all ages!

Not everything is well in Dream Land. For some mysterious reason, the Dream Spring, a magical well that is the reservoir for all the dreams of the citizens of Dream Land, is no longer working. Everyone is being subjected to their worst nightmares every time they go to sleep. Upon reaching the Dream Spring, Kirby finds out that evil King Dedede has stolen the Star Rod, thus depriving Dream Land of the magical energy that feeds its spring. Using 20 unique tricks and your ability to steal your enemies' powers by swallowing them, you'll have to make your way through a horrific land filled with all kinds of nightmares. Recover the broken pieces of the Star Rod, and everyone in Dream Land will sleep peacefully once again. If you fail, the citizens of Dream Land will be subjected to a lifetime of terrible nightmares.

Everyone in Dream Land has lost the ability to dream! It seems that King Dedede has stolen the Star Rod, the source of power for the Fountain of Dreams, and given its fragmented pieces to his goons for safekeeping. The world needs a hero...a round pink one. As Kirby embarks on an adventure to recover the Star Rod, he'll have to copy every trick in the book to bring good dreams back to Dream Land.

Kirby's sole NES adventure pitted the hero against King Dedede, who had stolen and shattered the magical Star Rod that powered all happy dreams. No longer available, Kirby's Adventure was originally released in May, 1993.

Kirby's Back in Power-Puffing Action!

What would Dream Land be without dreams? A Nightmare! The Dream Spring, source of all dreams, has dried up, taking with it all the blissful dreams of Dream Land. It's up to Kirby, the bombastic blimp, to return happy naps to the inhabitants of Dream Land!

Kirby's appetite for adventure is big as ever as he eats his way through a feast of all new enemies! In this adventure, he can also steal the abilities of the bad guys he scarfs down! With this new power, Kirby can perform 20 new tricks that will help him make his way through he nightmare infested Dream Land!

Kirby's Adventure features brand new worlds to explore with the same fun, action packed feel that made Kirby's Dream Land for Game Boy a hit!
