If you like the board game, you will ABSOLUTELY want this cart. The graphics are more than adequate for a board game translation, and the game is easy to handle and move around in. A nice upbeat soundtrack blends in nicely with the action to provide a very nice package all around.

Just Games Retro
Of all the board games you could make a videogame out of (and there have been plenty), Monopoly is one of the ones that make the most sense. I rather enjoyed the board game in my youth, but could never get anyone to agree to play it. Frequent excuses: It took too long. It was too much of a hassle. You needed a lot of players to make the game interesting. And for whatever reason, no one liked the idea of leaving the board out and coming back to the game later.

Netjak
Overall, I wouldn't pay more than $5 for this game. There are versions for other consoles that try to do more with animations, graphics and sound, but they are roughly the same game with similar features, and annoyingly similar drawbacks. Cheaper copies at yard sales or flea markets are a bargain as Ebay auctions and other sites usually sell for more than my recommended $5.

Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM)
Some games just don't belong on the Nintendo, but at least they didn't make Monopoly for the Genesis or something. I suppose if you're too lazy to pull out the original board game, this cart is just for you. Nothing impressive here, so don't expect much.
