Packed with personality and an adequate challenge, players may be disappointed that this fun food ride ends perhaps a bit too soon.

Retro Game Age (Mar 10, 2014)
Man Taito were truly on a roll in 1992, with the likes of Kick Master, the phenomenal Little Samson, Power Blade 2, and now Panic Restaurant under their belt. These were all gems that deserve a higher profile. Panic Restaurant in particular is hard to find as it suffered from a low print run and I say if you are a fan of platformers and can find it at a reasonable price go for it.

Power Unlimited (Oct, 1993)

Though the stages are perhaps harder than those in most platformers on the system, there simply aren't enough of them. This is a small complaint, really, at least in this day and age. After all, if you find this game you're not likely to have spent much money in the effort. And for a few bucks, this is the perfect platformer. It's charming, it's fun, and you can use it to fill that half-hour before work. By all means, pick it up if you can find it.

Get lives, points, extra health, if you fancy you’re fancy enough. Panic Restaurant was handcrafted by the artisans at Taito for your enjoyment. If you’re looking for a game with personality, please do not hesitate to enjoy.

It's a shame the developers didn't add more variety and improve the level design as there's the seed of a really good game here. Don't get me wrong, Panic Restaurant is fun but by the final stage you'll start to grow tired of its thin gameplay.

Play Time (Jan, 1993)
