Iguana has done this sequel total justice, going beyond the usual port + better graphics = next-gen. QB Club has a ton of impressive camera angles, plays better than anything out there, once you get the timing down on the passing and is surrounded by quality sound, animation and gameplay. Easily the best 32-bit football game thus far, even without the actual players.

The action is smooth and intuitive, but it's a little late for Acclaim to compete with EA in the 16-bit realm, but I'm anxious to see what they've got planned for the 32-bit systems.

In summary, I would have to say that, while a well crafted and graphically excellent football game, NFL QB Club comes up short in it's long term play value and it's heavy emphasis on arcade style play. It certainly is a quality effort, but it is not in the same league as NFL '95 and Madden '95.

Quarterback Club is an impressive, finely crafted game for the masses that's easily the class of the Intermediate league. For gonzo football gamers, though, the average CPU doesn't match Madden '96's tough A.I. Apply for Club membership accordingly.

You literally can't lose with this game. If you think winning is the only thing, the Club can make all your football fantasies come true.

Unfortunately, the players are real small and the graphics are pretty bland. Not quite on par with Madden or Primetime, QBC is still good solid football title that some may like better. Definitely worthy of a look.

If you like football games, check out QB Club. It's a good game and the only other option besides Game Day.

This isn't a bad football game, really. Not so much bad as it is sloppy. If this game had been tightened just a bit; more animation frames, more attention to minor graphical and sound details, this could have been "A" material. As it stands, it's just okay. An okay football game to blow a half hour on when you're waiting to leave for an appointment, or the such. If you're into football, pick it up, because you'll love the thrill of the quick pace of the game. If you're a casual player who happens to enjoy football AND can look past the small shortcomings that NFL Quarterback Club '96 has, it makes for a decent purchase.

Basically, if you pick up a copy of NFL Quarterback Club '96 for the Sega Genesis, stick with the Quarterback Challenge. There is no reason to play in the other mode. The QB Challenge almost compensates for the weakness of the gridiron battle, but not quite.

Although the gameplay is decent, QB Club's numerous mistakes make it a bigger loser that the Jets. So far, NFL GameDay is the only game in town for 32-bit football fiends.

SEGA SaturnGame Players
I really wanted to like QBC, but the lack of smooth play, any sort of AI and a feel for the game make QBC another disappointing Saturn sports game. For next year, Acclaim needs to fine tune the movements, AI and graphics and they could really have a good football game.
