Those who’ve played Worms in the past know what to except – a fun, easy going gaming experience that doesn’t require a lot of thought. While some developers have lofty dreams to port a big console title to the mobile phone format, they often deliver a subpar gaming experience. Worms World Party doesn’t fall over in this regard. It is just a simple 2D title that knows what it does and does it well.
Nonetheless, this is rare classic for the N-Gage that recreates everything you would want from this series in portable form. Nothing can take away from the concept and it's incredible execution. That's all retained here in fine form. This is a killer app if you have multi-player capabilities.

Despite the game's variety, Worms World Party doesn't advance the series much. Longtime fans might be sick of how stagnant the games are, or conversely, they might be pleased that nothing has been changed too drastically. Regardless, there's no question that this game offers a well-rendered Worms experience on the N-Gage.

As much as the game tries to make you hate it, with long waits and complex controls, you can't help but have fun with Worms World Party. Still, it's that jumping through hoops you have to do that keeps me from scoring it higher. However, I recommend that anyone interested in multiplayer or strategic combat should download the demo to see if these gripes affect you as much as they did me. You know what they say: Different terms for different worms.
