DescriptionNinja Shadow Warrior is a photo-booth game where the player assumes the role of a ninja in a palace under attack. As a ninja, the player must find hiding places within the palace, using their "ninja magic" to effectively disappear within common (and uncommon) household objects. The player is shown a silhouette of an object like a statue or vase, as well as where they stand in respect to that object, giving them 10 seconds to adjust their posture and pose to "fit" within the silhouette. Multiple players can join in and are encouraged to do so, as they may help fill out larger or unusually-shaped objects. After 10 seconds, a picture is taken, and then scored based on how much of the silhouette is filled and how much lies outside of the outline. Each image is also uploaded to Tumblr.
Ninja Shadow Warrior is not mass-produced and thus is only available where creator Kaho Abe chooses to exhibit it; the cabinet is most likely to be found in the New York City area, at public events associated with the Eyebeam Art & Technology Center or the NYU-Poly Game Innovation Lab.
