You could spend $20 on worse things, though. Labyrinth doesn't quite have the legs to live up alongside other puzzle games, but it does offer a little bit of substance for those looking for an exercise in strategy and cunning. The multiplayer is a nice touch as well, considering that Taito didn't even need to throw it in at all. Still, with just a little more work on the physics and some extra stages, they could've really gotten the ball rolling here.

What then is the conclusion? This game is quite fun while it lasts, but it is way too short. Sure, it may be a port/remake of an earlier game (which is my guess since Taito was involved in making this game in some way), but it is still a fun game. It just does not last long enough to be worth paying too much money for. If you can find it cheap, go for it, but I would not pay more than seven to eight bucks for it.

There's still fun to be had, but Labyrinth hasn't really moved on in the nearly-20 years since it rose to fleeting prominence, and is probably best left alone until it's fallen off the budget games shelf into the bargain bin.

Labyrinth is a bad port of a mediocre arcade game. There's potential for fun, but that potential is never met - the single player campaign is over stunningly quick, and the multiplayer is almost unplayably buggy. The bargain price makes it less of an investment to see if the game's really not good like I make it out to be, but trust me: keep that twenty bucks in your wallet and move on.

Again, Labyrinth's tilt-based gameplay is sort of interesting, but the collision issues and the fact that you'll basically be done with it after an hour or so suck away whatever appeal existed in the game design. The DS is rich beyond imagination with far better and more interesting puzzle games than this one. Stick with those.
