Earthworm Jim has made the step to DSiWare relatively well, with all the immature humour, off-the-wall level design and charm that made it such a hit in its 16-bit days. The smaller screen size causes some problems and the DSi camera feature isn't worth bothering with, but otherwise you're getting a decent, lengthy platforming game that is priced just right at 500 Points.
Earthworm Jim is a bizarre, somewhat flawed 2D platformer that will assault gamers with devastating challenges. Although some aspects of Earthworm Jim are enjoyable, like its quirky personality, the DSiWare version just isn’t worth the money. There’s too much slowdown, long load times and it doesn’t have the same polish as the more recent Earthworm Jim HD. Don’t download this one onto your portable unless you’re really desperate to see that worm again.
