Norse by NorseWest is a good puzzle game that offers just enough action to keep it interesting during long play sessions.

Norse by Norsewest is an enjoyable blend of cute animation, mind-stretching puzzles and an amusing plot. Getting through all the levels takes patience and practice. Fans of puzzle/strategy games will have hours of fun trying to get the Viking brothers home again. I highly recommend Norse by Norsewest to anyone looking for a challenge.

Lost Vikings 2 is a decent platform game that is jam packed with humorous quips. It's flat 2D looks do no justice to the power of the Playstation but then again there are many titles around that have next generation graphics and the gameplay is crap. If you have played the original Lost Vikings then it may be worth checking out before buying and if not then give it a try, you might be pleasantly surprised.

I didn't play the old version extensively when they were on the Genesis and Super NES, but I did like the game. It was a nice combination --- Lemmings with a action/side-scroller. The new version of Lost Vikings game doesn't lose anything coming over to the 32-bit game doesn't lose anything coming over to the 32-bit machine(s). In fact, what it gains is funny animated sequences, some hilarious voices for the various characters in the game and improved graphics. I kind of wish there were more levels, but I guess I'll have to settle with the 30 or so that the game features. I also like the characters the Vikings meet up with during play --- for me this makes the game more fun.

Fans of the first game will be delighted to see the three friendly faces of the Vikings on the PlayStation, and there is a great deal to keep the long term challenge alive, but at the end of the day this is a 16-bit game converted with few frills. Sure it's time for Lost Vikings 3-D?

The graphics are quite nice, with 3D rendered characters and no shortage of weird things to see. The sound effects are solid, the voices and dialogue are humorous and the music is actually very good. Unfortunately, the game plays in a 640x480window and won't go full screen if your desktop is higher than that. The game saves by using passwords (just like the PlayStation version), and actually requires you scroll through the letters to input your password instead of just letting you use the keyboard (something most PC owners, unlike PlayStation gamers, actually have and even know how to use). The worst flaw is that the game forces you to use the keyboard. It won't accept a control pad at all, which is inexplicable to say the least. Still though, those flaws aside (and they are big flaws), this is a fun, challenging game that makes you do something very few games in the action section can do: think. And that's not such a bad thing to do every now and then, is it?
