Description
To spice up the concept of a tourist safari, this game has the player control a velociraptor driving a jeep. He is given a small amount of time to explore an area and collect other velociraptors (his own kind!) using a spiky ball on a chain dangling from the back of the jeep. Once caught, they can be brought back to extraction points to have them beamed to a corporation that turns them into tasty snacks.
The game has an arcade-like gameplay and awards almost everything with points, from running over the dinosaurs to driving on two wheels or smashing the jeep. In consecutive gameplay sessions, the entire area can be explored to collect 100 golden orbs. There are also various ramps and elevations for stunts. The jeep has a boost button and the ball-on-a-chain can be broken off and renewed at any time. Caught velociraptors will however influence the physics and bring the jeep out of balance.
There is a large amount of achievements that are tied to a personal profile, along with a leaderboard of all players.

Trivia
An enhanced remake called
Off-Road Velociraptor Safari HD was announced, but in April 2010 it was postponed for an indefinite time.
