Caution. Slippery when wet. The impressive opening video shows the forces of Oda Nobunaga attacking those of Imagawa Yoshitomo, a real historical event. Akechi Samanosuke's role, of course, is fictional.
Fighting in the rain... The intro video's battle scene featured the largest number of people motion captured in any one scene up to that point.
Toshiro Mifune, eat your heart out! Our first encounter with Samanosuke is in the intro, where he trounces every samurai that comes his way.
Oh. That was easy... Unfortunately, finding the princess in the first few minutes of the game only leads you to more problems, including your unfortunate demise.
The Three Ashigaru. These fellows will point you in the right direction early on. What becomes of them is a mystery probably best left unresolved.
Ninja Lever Pulling Technique! There's not many puzzles in the game, and they revolve around fairly simple mechanics.
Why mom always warned you about putting your sword in the outlet. During your quest, you'll come across magical swords that embody the powers of electricity, fire, and wind.
Soul Blade. Stealing the spirits of your victims is the way to increase your power and heal yourself.
There's no place like home... Even these giant, axe wielding creatures are no match for a well-empowered special attack.
Girl power. During the course of the game you'll occassionally take control of Samanosuke's female ninja companion.
The philosophy of the Taiko. The future Toyotomi Hideyoshi makes an appearance as Nobunaga's lieutenant.
What's the Predator doing here? Samanosuke prepares for the next attack from a villain that can cloak himself.
There are infinite things that we do not understand...like why a samurai would wear a Panda outfit that includes a pouch?
Demons are a cowardly, superstitious lot. Samanosuke, aka Pandaman, strikes a heroic pose against the night sky.
