Game Boy AdvanceGame Vortex (2002)
Taken separately, these games are fun enough to play, but by no means a must-buy. Taken together, the four titles that you'll find on here make this cart an absolute must for any fan of classic games or anyone looking for a good time-waster. Chances are great that you'll find something on here that you like, and once you tire of it you can switch to one of the other games. Sure, you'll wish that the GBA's display were a little bigger, but for the most part Pac-Man Collection fits the system perfectly. With games designed for quick play and a system designed for the same, it's hard to go wrong.
Game Boy AdvanceIGN (Jul 16, 2001)
The game lacks a battery to save high-scores, but that's a small complaint as each of these arcade machines wiped clean when the power turned off. All of these games are loads of fun to play, some more so than others -- Pac Attack is probably considered the loser of the bunch, but even this one has some merits in the compilation pack. Four games on one cartridge for the Game Boy Advance's low-end pricing. It's absolutely worth it, even if you bought Namco Museum just for Ms. Pac-Man.
Game Boy AdvanceGameSpy (Jan, 2002)
Pac-Man itself is still a great game and worth playing for nostalgia reasons alone, but the collection feels incomplete without Ms. Pac Man, the only Pac sequel truly worth playing. Essentially the same game the lovely Ms. offers twists like fruit that bounces through the levels and additional mazes, making for a better play experience overall. The only problem with this collection is that it's proof positive that Pac-Man and his lovely Ms. were the apex of the series (though Pac-Arrangement is still pretty interesting). However, the Pac-Man Collection is still a worthwhile addition to any retro fans portable library, especially if you get a thrill when you hear the opening notes of the Pac-Man theme like I do.
Game Boy AdvanceGameSpot (Jul 17, 2001)
Regardless of their age, the simple, undemanding diversions found in Pac-Man Collection are perfect for today's portable systems. By selectively targeting a single franchise and including nearly perfect ports, Namco has made a compilation that Pac-Man fans are sure to enjoy.
Game Boy AdvanceGamePro (US) (Aug 01, 2001)
Pac-Man is gaming’s global goodwill ambassador, so it’s only appropriate for him to have a Game Boy Advance title all his own: four games in one cart, ready to hit the road. However, this game isn’t the yellow circle’s finest hour.
