Abysma
Description official description
Abysma is a single-player, shareware, mouse controlled, puzzle game.
The player starts with a rectangular game area filled with squares of different sizes, or rather it's almost filled because there are some holes. At the top of the game area is 'The Bar Of Doom' which slowly descends over the game area. When it encounters a hole the player loses energy and when that's gone it's game over so the player has to move shapes from elsewhere to fill the holes before 'The Bar Of Doom' reaches them - naturally this makes another hole somewhere else so the player must somehow fill those holes too
For every level the player completes the game adds another shape to the game area so while level one is just different sized squares level three has cross shapes and so on
The game has a high score table and an on-line high score table, music, a tutorial level, four difficulty settings and can be played in a window or full screen. The shareware version was downloaded as a complete game but was locked after sixty minutes of play, if the player wished to continue they had to purchase an unlock key. The game could also be played on-line for a short period.
