Basically, Peggle is everything we want in an iPhone game. It's got a wry sense of humor, a solid presentation, hours upon hours of content, perfectly balanced and nuanced gameplay, a great learning curve, excellent controls... and anyone can play it! Don't miss this one, folks.

WindowsGameZebo
Honestly, there is very little to find wrong with Peggle. It's one of those rare games that gets everything right, from ridiculously addictive game-play and multiple game modes to beautiful graphics and enjoyable audio to welcome extras such as funny characters, an instant replay option and the climactic end to each level. Do yourself a favor and give Peggle a chance - it may might not impress at first -- but be sure to stick with it as you won't be sorry. Your family, on the other hand, might not be as pleased with your newfound PC companion.

Peggle is a wonderful game it will keep you entertained for many weeks. It’s certainly one of the best casual games I have played this year - and I would recommend it to anyone.

Xbox 360ZTGameDomain
So, what is Peggle? It is a game that requires you to think, use different angles and timing to complete the game. It is a game that makes you sit back and rethink those strategies. But most importantly, it is a game that is extremely fun and addictive. You won't find a better puzzle game on the XBLA. This game is more than worth your $10, even though at times it can get intricate, it doesn't take away any of the fun that is Peggle.

Xbox 360Official XBox Magazine
Simply put, this is a once-in-a-generation puzzler, much like Tetris. It’s Xbox Live Arcade’s finest offering, and it can be both mindless and high-level strategic fun. Don’t miss it. Find an internet connection and create an Xbox Live Silver account if you have to; it’s that sublime.

Xbox 360Console Monster
In conclusion, Peggle is without a doubt my favourite title on the Xbox LIVE Arcade. From the addictive gameplay to the many challenges on offer, and with more promise, this game is a must for any Xbox 360 owner and at 800 Microsoft Points, there really is no excuse.
95
Xbox 360GameFocus
There are many reasons why Peggle is a must own but the best has to be the sheer number of hours you will put in playing this. PopCap knows how to make some insane crazy addicting games and to be sure this is their best.

Xbox 360TalkXbox
While I was hoping the 360 version would add something entirely new (not counting the Peg Party), I highly recommend Peggle. It’s a casual game that appeals to everyone. For only 800 Microsoft points ($10 USD), you will definitely get your money’s worth.
93
Xbox 360TeamXbox
Pop Cap has done a great job with Peggle on XBLA. The game is incredibly colorful with a great mix of animation and sound to satisfy players of all ages—it’s not dumbed down for kids and it’s not loaded up with sophisticated gameplay concepts that only adults can take in. Most of all, though, it’s the combination of simple gameplay, challenging action and cartoon-like graphics that makes it highly appealing. Sure, there’s not a lot of variety to the gameplay, but you won’t likely care either, because it’s such basic entertainment. The year is still pretty new, but I’ll go out on a limb and say that Peggle may be the best 800 Microsoft Points (about $10) that you’ll spend this year.

Xbox 360Wonderwallweb.com
Peggle is one of the most fun and addictive titles to hit XBLA in a while. Well worth the 800 MS points it will cost you.

Xbox 360Gaming Target
Overall, the Xbox 360 edition of Peggle has turned out to be the most feature-packed version of the game yet. It is nearly impossible to describe why all of the above is as addicting as it is, so if you haven’t tried Peggle, I beg you to download the demo on PC or Xbox 360 to see what you have been missing. At only 800 Microsoft Points ($10), this game is a steal that will provide countless hours of enjoyment for players of all ages. Now, if you will excuse me... there is more Peggle to be played.
90
Xbox 360Gamer 2.0
Peggle definitely makes the transition over to Xbox Live Arcade very well with the main game’s set of modes and two new multiplayer modes that makes it an easy 800 points, or $10, purchase if you enjoy the demo. DLC seems to be in the works to possibly add Peggle Nights, Extreme, and anything else PopCap has in store, so there should be additional levels to come in the future. The only way this wouldn’t be a recommendation would be if you either don’t like what the demo offers or have bought and worn out Peggle and its sequels/spin-offs already on the PC.

Xbox 360Destructoid
Peggle is one of those games that can hit any platform and still work perfectly. The deliciously addicting game shines on XBLA for a meager 800 Microsoft points. The little touches -- the loading bar phrases and the visuals -- lend credence to Peggle’s relevance on Microsoft’s downloadable service. The promise of downloadable content is present, ensuring that the single-player person will have plenty to do after galloping through the game’s content. The multiplayer really shines. Peg Party is an impressive mode, sure to keep you interested in the title. If you’re a fan of Peggle, or even new to the series, give this a download. It’s worth every penny.
90
Xbox 360DarkZero
Peggle is unique among puzzle games though, in that despite never being particularly challenging, it’s still great fun to play and is the very definition of that ‘just one more go’ feeling that some games evoke. A very pure, fun experience that appeals to gamers of all ages, and a great example of simple, but effective, gameplay. Top draw.

Xbox 360Gameplanet
It is hard to say for sure why Peggle is so addictive. It really needs to be played to be seen, but if you are looking for a true family game that will give you hours of fun then look no further. as it's easily one of the better puzzle titles on the Xbox Live Arcade. The addition of achievements is of course another bonus, however some of them (such as clearing a Peggle board of all pegs, blue and orange) seem a little out of reach for some of us. The lack of new levels though is disappointing, as anyone having previously finished the game won’t find anything new here, but Popcap have already promised new DLC levels and these should fill that void in the very near future.
90
Xbox 360D+PAD Magazine
At the end of the day, you’ve not succumbed to the addiction because of a handful of leaderboard features and replay videos. Peggle is a rare, but clear example of a game that utilises a simple concept to create a limitlessly satisfying gameplay experience. There are no end of level bosses, ostentatious cut scenes or superfluous button layouts to memorise, Peggle is simply gameplay refined.
90
Xbox 360Eurogamer.net (UK)
While it's a shame that the Xbox 360 experience doesn't do more to move the established template forwards on the multiplayer front, it would also be fairly nit-picky to allow such concerns to detract from the fact that Peggle was, and still is, a wonderful, maddeningly moreish gem of fuss-free game design. Every home should have one.

Xbox 360videogamer.com
A well-intentioned half hour pick-up-and-play session can easily turn into a six hour all-nighter if you get seduced by the lure of the online high score charts and just have to break that 500,000 point barrier. That the game plays you the rousing strains of Beethoven’s Ode To Joy upon the completion of every stage is no accident, either. Completing a level of Peggle might not exactly stand up there with completing Halo 3 on Legendary as one of the pinnacles of gaming prowess, but you could almost be fooled, the way the game fetes your success. It has all the same ingredients of the classic arcade games of the 1980s. It’s easy to learn and simple to play, but hard to truly master and achieve the highest scores. But its biggest strength is that it’s fun. With such polish and attention to detail in not just the presentation but the game mechanics as well, Peggle is pure, distilled fun in digital form. This is accessible, feel-good gaming at its very best.

There’s not really much more to say other than “get it now”. Well don’t just sit there, hop to it!

Xbox 360Mygamer.com
It seems like every XBLA game that has come out in the last 12 months is 800 MS Points ($10) or more. However, Peggle is one game that is definitely worth its weight in gold. For some reason, it is hard to explain why Peggle is so addicting. Perhaps it is the colorful presentation, or maybe it’s the simple luck based gameplay, or the quick and casual style of play makes it very easy to just pick up and play. No matter what the reason is, Peggle is absolutely worth the $10 price tag. At the very least, download the free demo. It is pretty much guaranteed that you will be hooked before the demo is over.

Xbox 360JustPressPlay
I rarely will openly say to buy a game now and to play it over and over, but here I am and I will say it, buy this game and play it...now. The game is awesome and is one of the best games on XBLA right now. If you don't get it you won't know the best craze around since Ball in a Cup.

WindowsEurogamer.net (UK)
An ode to joy is exactly what Peggle is. It's a constant series of rewards, slapping you on the back and tickling you affectionately under the chin for what you achieve by design and accident alike - the purest of celebrations of what videogames are all about. It's non-violent, very funny, incredibly charming and gently asks more of your brain than reflex. It creates nostalgia for a period of gaming that probably never actually existed. But now it does. Peggle! Peggle! Peggle!

Xbox 360Frictionless Insight
Virtually everyone will find something to enjoy with Peggle, and the game offers far more play than one might expect from its price tag.
90
Xbox 360IGN
Peggle is pure happiness distilled into a low-cost digital download. More puzzles and challenges would have been nice, but it's hard to complain about the way this port to the Live Arcade was handled. Peggle may be a casual game at heart, but it can hook you like few other games. Don't let the bright colors turn you off, no matter how hardcore you think you are. This is one that everyone can enjoy.

iPod ClassicIGN
Peggle is simply the best game for the iPod thus far. The game was almost built with the click-wheel in mind, offering seamless control that never interferes with play. It's also devilishly addictive -- one of those "just one more stage" kind of games that make a wait at the airport absolutely vanish or suddenly make a clock say 2AM. If you've hesitated to buy an iPod game out of fear it wouldn't be any fun, Peggle is the perfect proof that in the right hands, the iPod is a legit gaming device.

Xbox 360Da Gameboyz
Peggle is no doubt one of the more addictive games available on the Xbox LIVE arcade. It will place a strange trance upon you as it sucks many hours of gameplay away. If I can find any fault with it it is that there could have been more boards available, as evidenced by my wife’s DS version which includes 125 boards. That being said, there is still a lot here and everyone from the casual to the hardcore gamer alike can do no wrong by purchasing this game. At 800 MS points it is a pretty good deal.

Overall, Peggle is probably the biggest surprise game of the year for me so far. Normally, I avoid PopCap stuff because it is so simple and makes me want more 15 minutes in. Peggle, however is different – while it is simple and seems to not offer much on the surface, there’s a whole other game buried deep within for the hardcore gamer. The subtle touches, though, are what really make this game worth picking up, particularly for 20 bucks. Hardcore gamers, don’t miss out on this one because of the company it is from – it is a fun game to play in between the crazy frag sessions.

So - it's Peggle, game of the year and winner of numerous other awards on PC, on 360. If you're not a hardcore PC super-score hunter, the controls are fine (and you're competing in a walled garden with other 360 gamers anyway) and the addition of an excellent online mode only adds to the already comprehensive depth of content on offer. If you have any interest in this whatsoever and want to play it on 360, don't hesitate.

If you are yet to be hooked in by coloured pegs and unicorns found in Peggle, it's time to feel the extreme fever and grab a copy today.

At the end of the day, Peggle is definitely a game to even play at the end of the day as it's quite addictive and games can be quite short, without giving too much time to play. It's a comforting game and an entertaining game. The gameplay is fun, however sometimes extremely frustrating, yet something about Peggle makes you come back for more and more.

The price of Peggle Deluxe is insane. It is an upper-level shareware game with dozens of hours of replayability and fully supported multiplayer, yet it sells for a low $19.95. Without a doubt, Peggle Deluxe is a must-buy. It doesn't matter if you're 10 or 30, you'll enjoy this game.
83
Xbox 360Gaming Nexus
I never should have doubted my friends and co-workers. Peggle proves to be another fantastic Xbox Live Arcade game, full of great puzzles, fun characters, cool power-ups and an exciting multiplayer mode. It's a bit on the short side, though. Even with that one complaint, Peggle is well worth your ten dollars!
83
Xbox 360Game Revolution
To be honest, there's not much to be said about Peggle Deluxe - it's a very easy game to pick up and enjoy. It does get crazier as you progress, in terms of difficulty and complexity. A plus also has to be given to a game that plays Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" every time a level is completed - making you feel like Die Hard's Hans Gruber (sans falling off a thirty-six-floor building). The added game modes are an interesting distraction, but if you have played Peggle on any of the myriad of platforms it's on, these additions might not be enough to warrant a purchase. However, if you've never been hooked on Peggle before, it's a great purchase for 800 Microsoft Points.

Well, that leaves about one more thing to say: goodbye, to your family, to your other games, to your free time - hello Peggle.
80
Xbox 360Gamer.nl
80
Xbox 360Giant Bomb
Peggle is a great game, and it's one that can easily fill those hours you've set aside to actually be productive. Other versions of Peggle have been available for years on the PC and Mac--platforms which, in all honesty, are probably better suited to the game's short play sessions--but the Xbox Live Arcade version is no slouch. It would have been nice to stretch the brain-box a bit with crazier modes or challenges, and the inclusion of a level editor certainly wouldn't have hurt, but at 10 dollars, Peggle is a welcome addition to my procrastination repertoire.
80
Xbox 360Thunderbolt Games
For 800 Microsoft points, Peggle Deluxe is a bit pricey for the lack of content available, especially when other titles such as N+ offer so many more puzzles, and a level editor, for the same price. All criticism aside, this is a title that winds away the hours and, for the most part, is a joy to play. What I first considered to be a silly, childish story turned out to be a true portrayal of what most players will go through learning the ways of Peggle, in that you have to be patient, disciplined and sometimes lucky, too.
80
MacintoshMacNN
If you prefer nonviolent games that are simple and just plain fun, you will like Peggle. It is reasonably priced, easy to play, and anyone in your family can join in.
80
WindowsThunderbolt Games
The abundance of luck in the “Extreme Fever” aspect of Peggle Deluxe is frustrating at times, but that doesn’t mean that it’s difficult to spend many hours on this game. There’s just something hypnotic seeing where the ball will go next, the bright colors and the hope that a high score will be broken. It may not be a puzzle game for the ages, but not many games can make time waste away like this one can. I just hope that the American workplace doesn’t get a hold of this game or I fear the economy will worsen even more.
