Description

One thousand years before the modern age, a vast empire rose to power under the rule of a tyrannical king. When the tyrant died under unexplainable circumstances, the empire was thrown into disarray, its opponents seizing the opportunity to wage war against it. At the height of the war, strange and terrifying creatures spread through the land and the empire vanished without a trace, its secrets lost in time. But now, a legendary structure said to have the power of manipulating time itself has been uncovered. If one were to unite its missing components and reconstruct it, one could theoretically travel back through time to discover the fate of the ancient empire and uncover its connection to the Wraiths.

The Lost Empire is the first expansion for Perfect World International, bringing a significant number of additions and changes to the game.

New zones and dungeons are added, meant to be explored as part of a new quest chain that can be started at level 70. To aid this endeavor, new weapons, equipment and battle pets have also been added, as well as new high-level skills and the corresponding Spiritual Cultivation levels. The process of obtaining these new and powerful skills is different and much more difficult than the one of obtaining the existing ones, however.
