From uk.playstation.com:
Another perfect conversion of a coin-op. Air Combat on PlayStation extends the gameplay of Namco's arcade original, providing a lone pilot with a dozen high-performance planes to choose between, each with its own flight characteristics and weaponry.
Then there are 17 linked missions that provide a clear sense of development. Unlike more "serious" flight simulators, PlayStations's Air Combat offers straightforward, accessible controls that allow the game's addictive and ultra-playable nature to shine through. It's all here: air-to-air combat, and air-to-ground combat. The action is enhanced by a head-up display, realistic controls, damage reports, a variety of viewpoints and an incredibly realistic 3D world.
