Bomberman Fantasy Race

Om Hudson hade lagt ned lite mer tid på att försöka kombinera racinggenren med bombardemanget på ett lite mer sublimt sätt hade det här kunnat smälla högt. Men de brände sin chans.

Erg enthousiast ben ik niet over dit spel. De graphics zijn niet geweldig en zonder het bommengeweld is dit maar een tweederangs racegame. Het meest positieve dat ik over dit spel kan zeggen, is dat ik telken van Ed kon winnen, en dat is me bij geen enkel ander racespel gelukt.

Although it lacks a speedy adrenaline rush, and it doesn't push technical limits to the top, Bomberman Fantasy Race is a good time. No, you don't get to butcher monkies with a red-hot poker, and you certainly don't get to hit Leonardo DiCaprio in the neck with a foldable chair, but you'll enjoy the game nonetheless. And why not? Hell, it's Bomberman we're talking about after all! Bomberman's games is fun, nuff said.

The undeniable urge to race has struck many a platform- and puzzle-game hero. It hit Mega Man in the Japanese release Rockman: Battle & Chase and Square's cutesy-cutesy Chocobo in Chocobo Racing. It's even happened to Mario twice now. Since Bomberman has long been known to play with fire and explosives, it was really just a matter of time before he added the track to his long list of vices.
