Buster Bros. Collection has an addictive nature that has stood the test of time. Gameplay is simple to pickup but challenging enough to hold your interest. In one or two-player mode the action is non-stop and sets a frantic pace that will leave you breathless by games end. BBC offers a fun and relentless retro-gaming experience.

Buster Bros. Collection is good fun for the whole family. You won't find any technological breakthroughs here, but the game is just fun to play. Of all of the puzzle games available on the market, this is one of the better titles around. Even if this was a new set of games and not arcade classics, it would still be worth checking out. I guess Buster Bros. can legitimately use the catch phrase "addictive."

This may be the last review you see from me for awhile; I'm planning on faking a death in the family so I can spend some time mastering Panic Mode. If you think you can handle it, the Buster Bros. Collection is a perfect example of a classic game that still has a lot to offer gamers today. It may not have the flashiest graphics or the best sound effects, but the hardcore action of Buster Bros. Collection more than makes up for these minute problems.

It might be too close to be 16-bit gaming for demanding PlayStation owners, but it's still a fun shoot-around.

Buster Bros. Collection does have its shortcomings, though, most notably in the graphics department. The game is starting to look a little dated, even with the inclusion of pre-rendered characters in Buster Buddies. (Thankfully, DonPacos' name was changed for the American version from the slightly less politically correct DonTacos.) Fans of old-school games may enjoy Buster Bros. Collection for its simplicity and 2D nostalgia, which is fine, but it's always nice to see something groundbreaking too.

Game Revolution
Buster Bros. Collection is a good game for those who miss old style arcade games. Buster Buddies is a great two player game and the Panic mode is genuinely tuff. Unfortunately, this game is not worth $30. If this was still in the arcade, we at Game Revolution played it enough to cost about $5. Still, it is a fun two player game, and (if anyone actually remembers this game) it's a blast from the past. All in all, just Buster Buddies should have been released on a CD containing many arcade classics. Then it might be worth the price tag.
