Summary

A brilliant upgrade to a blockbuster game.

The Good

The original was amazing, this game is spectacular! My favorite part was the absurd length of the thing. It took me, like, 6 months to complete the whole thing, and I loved it! The 20 locales should be enough for everyone to enjoy, from the backyard of Dave himself, to a Carnival, to the infamous woodward camp, even to a snow-kissed ski resort.

There's one thing I loved that everyone else hated: the soundtrack. Well, mostly. For some reason, they eliminated the song from sublime, swingin' utters and a few more. The game compensates by adding GREAT newcomers such as Mellincolin and Vision. I really like the Deviates song.

Another innovative thing was the fact that the game came with the game's soundtrack included! Awesome! I actually ripped that entire CD onto my Xbox's hard drive and listen to it while playing Dave Mirra 2 (gives ya an idea just how bad Dave 2's is!)

The Bad

A few issues should have been concered but weren't:

The graphics. They aren't bad, but it's a shame they haven't been improved from the original. I wasn't expecting PS2 quality, but a little more definition and smoothness could have made this game even better.

There are more characters, but the extra 2 were all secret, silly characters, not pros.

The Bottom Line

It's highly underhyped, and it's a GREAT GAME
