Devil Dice

Devil Dice is one of the more ingenious puzzlers we've come across in a long time. Super Puzzle Fighter Fighter Turbo is still, bar none, a great game, but at its core its a variation on Tetris. Devil Dice is smart and addicting the way Tetris is, it requires a tremendous level of skill, and it's based on the concept of dice.

This is a great game if you enjoy puzzles, although it's a bit difficult to master. People will either hate this game because of its steep learning curve, or love the challenge it presents and become quickly addicted. I definitely recommend renting it first to find out which is the case, and then making the decision whether to buy it.

Det finns fyra olika typer av spelval i Devil Dice: Trial Mode, Battle Mode, War Mode och Puzzle Mode. War Mode är en blandning av det unika konceptet och Hudsons Bomberman. Allting fungerar väldigt bra, är underhållande och tillåter inte mindre än fem spelare samtidigt.

There is something highly addictive about this game. I found myself dreaming at night of frantically rolling a dice around the playing field in search of a number five. What a nightmare! As a single player game it offers plenty of game modes with the puzzle mode steadily rises in difficulty as you advance. The first forty levels are fairly straightforward but after that... watch out! The two player mode requires both players to be fairly equal in skill but cooperative Trial mode can be enjoyed by all grades of players. You can even take turns on the single player puzzle mode.

If you thought Intelligent Qube was a walk in the park, Devil Dice will have you screaming in frustration. This one's truly devilish.

In ieder geval slaagde Devil Dice er weer eens in om het bloed onder mijn nagels vandaan te halen. Dikke pret dus voor de echte puzzleheads

Certainly not easy to learn and even more difficult to master, Devil Dice will keep its deepest secrets hidden from everyone except the most resolute of gamers. Approach with caution.

Le propre d'un bon jeu de réflexion, c'est d'être jouable dès les premières minutes, et de capter le joueur pendant de longues heures en faisant travailler ses petites neurones! DEVIL DICE n'a pas ces qualités. Il faut en effet un sacré bout de temps avant de savoir bouger convenablement les dés. Toutefois, l'idée de base du jeu étant assez novatrice, il réussira peut-être à convaincre les fans de jeux de réflexion à la recherche de nouveaux défis.
