Apparently I can't rate the game yet, do the MobyScore ratings have to be approved separately?

Nope, it seems that they haven't been added. I've only seen this in cases of splits, because even if the person doesn't add any rating, the "personal slant" is automatically included. Submit a correction, please.

I'm pretty sure I submitted the proper ratings for this game (excluding parser / learn) to the game and since the personal slant rating is automatically included, this completely escapes me.

I submitted a correction, hopefully it had enough information to be notified soon enough.

It seems it was a little odd, since the covers didn't go in automatically either for some reason.

Yeah I got sent back only the front cover, it had dropped the other covers from the submission plus it displayed in "recently approved" although it said it was still worked on.

It should be noted however that Personal Slant is only automatically included when the rating step in the wizard is chosen.

In fact, if you just add the title, skip anything else and go straight to proofread and click on submit, the game is put in the queue - without description, release info or any ratings. =)

Well, that kinda makes sense (the technicalities at least do).
