FIFA 2000: Major League Soccer

It's almost as if FIFA 2000 were EA Sport's attempt to Americanize soccer. Banking on the success of the US Women's World Cup Team by including Foudy, replacing favorite Motson with American commentator Schoen, and introducing the MLS teams, FIFA 2000 is the most US-friendly version of FIFA to hit shelves. This gives FIFA 2000 an entirely different feel than previous versions of the series, but it still delivers everything you've come to expect from FIFA. FIFA 2000 is more than just better than last year's game, it is easily the best soccer game ever to grace the PlayStation.

FIFA 2000 kommer garanterat att sälja bra. Electronic Arts är till och med så självsäkra att de inte ens besvärar sig med att göra en version till Nintendo 64. Frågan är om de Nintendo-ägare som varit serien trogna därmed kommer att sluta att spela FIFA-spelen och hitta nya favoriter. Förmodligen inte. Det är nog mer troligt att uthyrningen av PlayStation ökar.

I am normally the biggest critic of these yearly sporting updates which are churned out simply to squeeze more money from the average punter. However I do believe that 2000 is probably the best FIFA soccer game to date. Of course that statement may only last until FIFA 2001 turns up next year. I suppose what you really want to know is that should you already own last years version is there enough improvement to warrant a further investment? Graphically... yes! Gameplay wise... it's more of the same! Regardless, it will sell by the droves and one thing's for sure, there will be another next year... and the next... and the next...

Au final, FIFA 2000 est le digne successeur de la série qui a tout écrasé sur son passage. Plus beau, plus jouable et plus complet, tout a été retravaillé pour fournir le meilleur de la PlayStation. En attendant la réplique de Konami avec son ISS, FIFA 2000 est clairement le meilleur jeu de foot du moment.

Oh, dus je hebt FIFA 99 al? So what! Die van 2000 kent weer voldoende verbeteringen, updates en andere aanpassingen om 'm zeker te checken. Het begint de realiteit in ieder geval aardig te benaderen.
