Final Fantasy II

A malevolent emperor has called upon monsters from a demonic realm to take over the world, ending what seemed to be an eternal period of peace. Thousands of lives succumb to their attacks, orphaning many children in the process.

From the destruction rise four young survivors who will take it upon themselves to stop the merciless ruler and avenge the death of their parents.

Hmm, wir auch nicht ... aber wenn Sie Lust haben eine kleine Reise in die Vergangenheit zu unternehmen und diese glorreichen Tage wiederzubeleben - Sie wissen schon, als Spiele noch Spiele waren und die Handlung sich meistens um böse Magier und solchen Kram drehte - dann besorgen Sie sich ein Exemplar von Final Fantasy Origins und das Leuchten in Ihren Augen wird wiederkehren ...

Zur Erklärung für alle Spieler, die die letzten 15 Jahre in einer Cryo-Kammer eingefroren waren: Final Fantasy ist eine unglaublich beliebte Rollenspiel-Reihe, von der mehr Exemplare verkauft wurden, als von, na sagen wir von einer unheimlich gut verkauften Sache. Ursprünglich für das NES erschienen, wurden Final Fantasy I und II fast sofort zu Klassikern, an die sich erfahrene Spieler aus aller Welt auch heute noch gerne erinnern. Jetzt, elf Episoden später, schliesst Square mit der Neuveröffentlichung für PSone den Kreis.

Details

Final Fantasy erzählt die Geschichte von vier Kriegern des Lichts, jeder in Besitz eines magischen Kristalls, denen die Bürde auferlegt ist, die Welt aus den Klauen eines Bösewichts zu befreien, der, eigentlich unnötig das zu erwähnen, die Weltherrschaft anstrebt. FF II führt das Ganze auf ähnliche Art und Weise fort, es geht um vier Charaktere die gegen einen bösen Herrscher kämpfen.

Da die Original-Handlung erhalten bleibt, wirkt die Origins-Version sofort vertraut, allerdings enthält sie ein wenig Extra-Politur und Veränderungen die mit Umsicht eingebaut wurden. Vergessen sind die gestelzten Dialoge und die 8-Bit-Grafiken, stattdessen wurden die Skripte runderneuert, und die Grafiken sehen mehr nach 16-Bit aus, als die vorherigen Editionen. Die Zugabe von atemberaubenden Zwischensequenzen und neu abgemischte Versionen der Original-Musik verleihen Origins einen neuen Anstrich, ohne die Essenz der ersten zwei Spiele dieser grossartigen Reihe zu opfern.

Wenn Sie ein FF-Fan sind, sabbern sie sicher schon bei dem Gedanken Hand an diese Dosis Spiel-Nostalgie - die sich nun besser spielt als jemals zuvor - zu legen. Wenn die Reihe für sie neu ist, dann könnte Origins Sie auf den Geschmack bringen - planen Sie vorsichtshalber mal etwas mehr Zeit ein ...
