Bref, c'est pas du top de chez top, mais ça reste un petit jeu fun sur PSone... Et dans le genre, il n'y en a pas des milliers.
An average game that would be most fun with the Guncon controller.
Time to dust off that ol' Guncon pardner. Head on to your local hang-out (i.e. videogame store), and see for yourself if this no-good bandit makes you fogget that it's just "Time Crisis: Project Titan" dressed in that ol' varmint "Mad Dog McRee's" perforated shorts. It's only ten pieces of silver you all, so what you got to lose besides your free time and dignity? If you live for shootin' games, give it a shot (say, did this ol' dog just learn a new trick by making a clever pun? Yeehhaaw!).
The Gunfighter's one big misstep occurs at the beginning of the second level, where your partner is about to be hung. You only get one shot to break the rope, and even with the best light gun, it's hard! You may find yourself blowing through your continues quickly at that point. It could have been better, Gunfighter is a rather pleasant surprise for light-gun fans, especially with its low price tag.
You can't go wrong for the money. While far from ever in danger of being called a classic, Gunslinger does offer you a chance to put your light gun to use again since the PS2 insists that you need you new one. I've thrown away ten dollars before and had nothing to show for it. At least here I could spend ten bucks and have something that I wouldn't want to show.
Gunfighter is a step above Mad Dog McCree, the last notable light-gun game to feature a Western theme, but not quite up to the level of the Time Crisis series. Those hungry for a PlayStation light-gun game may be satiated with Gunfighter, especially considering its $10 price tag. However, the average gamer is going to have a hard time looking past the game's generally poor production and repetitive gameplay.
